Cosplay photography is a shared effort. The costume and the character rightly take the spotlight, and the whole community celebrates them, at the con, in the comments, everywhere the photo travels. The other half of that team, the person behind the camera, is rarely in the frame.
You do not need to be a professional. Almost nobody in this hobby is. A handful of people in the world make a living purely from photographing cosplay, and everyone else does it after work, on weekends, between two shifts, for the love of it. That is who this is for.
Allow us to introduce the sponsor of "Narrative Sequence" – @Retouch4me ✨
The winner of "Narrative Sequence" gets 200 retouches in the Retouch4me cloud, to spend on anything in the range! Everyone who enters the Awards gets 20% off their tools!

Cosplayers, tell us about the shoot that nearly fell apart.
Every one of us has one. The rain that arrived the moment you got into costume. The location that was closed when you got there. The crowd that wouldn't clear. And then the photographer had an idea!
@azproductioncosp shared an photo with us. They traveled with @timbercosplay and their team far north o Rügen island, for a photoshoot. Ofc it rained for two days. They used a rain radar app to dodge the clouds. But look at this dramatic picture - a reward for a great work!

Submissions open tomorrow 🎉
There is no limit on when the photograph was taken, and one that has already won somewhere else is still eligible!
4 Days! ✨ The judging at the Awards is 100% blind, and that changes what you upload or write ;)
The jury sees four things: the photograph, its title, its description and your disclosures. Not your name, not your country, not your handle, and not the people you credit.
Watermarks, logos, signatures and borders are not allowed, and why an entry carrying one can be disqualified.
7 Days! ✨
Submissions open in a week, and the first thing to settle is where you are entering! ✨
You get two categories, one photograph in each, and the same photograph cannot go into both. The exception is "Narrative Sequence", where one entry is a stack of 3 to 5 frames.
