That’s not Hal. It’s John Stewart. And racing through the oath like that is pure disrespect.

Most fans know Green Lanterns are weak to yellow.
The original one isn’t.
Alan Scott (the first Green Lantern, 1940) has always been powerless against wood. Later stories explained it as a leftover “gift” from the Guardians: they once changed an ancient Lantern’s ring so wooden clubs could stop him.
When Hal Jordan and the Corps showed up in 1959, they got a completely different weakness the color yellow (later revealed as the fear entity Parallax).
Same green light, two totally different vulnerabilities, 86 years apart.

I wonder what Ulf, the Drunk plan is after the battle?
He betrayed both sides, burned everyone who treated him poorly. The battle is going to end, each side will regroup and he will just be in a limbo where both sides want him dead.

Hal Jordan didn’t die like a Green Lantern. He died like a guy who wandered into the wrong True Detective episode.
Frozen on high school bleachers. Bullet in the head. Ring missing. No last construct. No last stand. Just a corpse in Nebraska so John Stewart can have a sad walk-up and the writers can say they were “brave.”
That’s not a twist. That’s an admission they were more interested in the murder board than the ring. If the most powerful weapon in the universe can’t even keep its wearer off a set of bleachers, the problem isn’t Hal. It’s the people holding the script.

WTF were writers smoking writing this scene?
I think the show unnecessarily damaged Aegon’s character by this scene when *Fire & Blood* never explicitly establishes that he rapd anyone.

Daemon refusing the split-the-realm deal isn’t honor.
It’s ego with a dragon.
Corlys was right. Gwayne was right. The siege was a vanity project that got children used as shields and then incinerated anyway. “The Rogue Prince” is just a man who can’t stand not being the main character of the massacre.

Lanterns just made Hal Jordan “your White man” and framed eccentricity as racial privilege.
Is this the sharpest, most human take on the Corps yet… or the moment the show decides half its audience doesn’t get to be weird without judgment?
Either way, it’s impossible to ignore.

Still thinking about this tiny detail in the #HOTD finale intro.
In past episodes, the opening credits tapestry just bled when major characters died. But in the finale? The entire thing catches fire and burns. 🔥
Since Helaena’s embroidery was basically the show's visual ledger tracking every tragedy, burning the tapestry at the end wasn't just about the war escalating it was the literal end of her thread.
Did anyone else notice this ?

Didn’t you notice Aemond’s dream replays the exact “Do you remember? / I remember nothing” exchange from when he checked on burned Aegon in S2.
Guilt never left. Subtle and brutal.

Ulf was pretty confident about his connection to the Targaryens. At a pub, he proclaimed himself as the bastard son of Baelon Targaryen, and half-brother of Viserys and Daemon.

The Battle of Tumbleton is pure chaos and it’s still the most epic sequence HOTD has ever done.
But did anyone else notice that when Ulf finally snaps and rains fire on everyone, the camera briefly holds on the children the Greens had lined up on the battlements? They weren’t just human shields.
They were the exact reason Daemon couldn’t just torch the gates cleanly at the start. The whole battle is built on that one cruel decision… and almost nobody is talking about it.

Alysanne was the only person who rode Silverwing before Ulf, perfectly explaining why Silverwing chose the dragonseed in the first place…
