Terribly sad news. We have lost one of our finest. It was a great privilege to have met Ted during DDay75 commemorations. Ted Owens @RoyalMarines - we salute you. @RoyalNavy @FirstSeaLord @Wo1JimWright @JohnnyMercerUK @UKGovWales @CorpsSecretary @theRMcharity @BearGrylls
Sadly WWII veteran Ted passed away yesterday, just days before his 99th birthday. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go to his family, friends and loved ones. He will be missed greatly by the RN team here in Wales. @theRMcharity @RoyalMarines @BrigJkFraserRM

Our Corps of Drums recently performed their first mess beatings at Admiralty House, Portsmouth. A critical audience including the Commandant General Royal Marines were suitably impressed-not bad for 6-months training. BZ Stix @RMBandService @HMNBPortsmouth

Delighted to hear @PlymLordMayor (himself a Royal Navy veteran) declare a focus this year on reworking the Military Covenant via a dedicated councillor. I look forward to supporting this really important work however I can.
