This one hits home! We lost a Sargent, but what it’s home is being a single mom whose kid is their whole world. I will certainly miss our funny conversations about our relationship mishaps. RIP Sarg!

The CDC issued this Health Alert Network (HAN) Health Advisory to inform clinicians and health departments about the hantavirus disease cases caused by infection with Andes virus. The risk to the public's health in the United States is considered extremely low at this time. As a precaution, CDC is working to increase awareness of the outbreak among travelers, public health agencies, laboratories, and healthcare professionals nationwide. cdc.gov/han/php/notices/han0…

We have had more staff assaults in the past few months than since the day I started and the city has had more assaults/shooting of officers than in a long time, it’s time to step up the punishments for these individuals!

I feel we should follow suit with Ohio, our most recent staff assault that sent a Correctional Officer to the hospital was celebrated by the inmate who assaulted him….he walked in the unit and said “wooo hooo I just beat me up and officer”

This past weekend was a difficult one for Douglas County Corrections Officers. Two officers were seriously injured in separate assaults by inmates inside the facility. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has exclusive jurisdiction to investigate these incidents.
"In Nebraska, assaults on Corrections Officers or Police Officers should carry enhanced penalties and result in the loss of mandatory good time. We must do more to protect those who serve and hold accountable those who choose to harm them." ~Sheriff Aaron Hanson
I’m voting for Button for City Council — someone who cares about people, pets, and progress! 🏘️🐾

Yesterday at work, a lady I previously had told me “you made a huge impact on my life” That really hit me! All I did was be kind to someone not really easy to deal with. I listened to her a few times and thought this lady just needs one person to care. So I did. #godsdirection
