American manufacturing and American agriculture go hand in hand. On Manufacturing Day, we're celebrating the manufacturers who turn U.S.-grown corn into the ingredients and products Americans rely on every day. Our industry wouldn't function without manufacturers, and we're proud to support them.

Certainty matters for American growers. Access to markets can provide that certainty, and that's why trade pacts like USMCA are a benefit to American farmers. A strong North American trading relationship means a stronger American agricultural economy.

Congratulations to NCGA leader Jed Bower on a great year as president!
Serving as president of the National Corn Growers Association is a calling, and it's one Jed Bower answered without hesitation. As his term as president comes to a close and he steps into the role of Corn Board chairman, we want to recognize everything he has given to corn growers over the past year. Jed spent this year as a volunteer, and he gave it his all. He traveled the country, often far from his farm, his friends, and his family, to make sure corn growers had a strong voice wherever it mattered. Whenever farmers across the Corn Belt needed him, whether it was a late-night call, a last-minute trip, or a tough conversation, Jed showed up. Back home in Washington Court House, Ohio, Jed raises corn and soybeans on a fifth-generation family farm with his wife, Emily, and their children, Ethan and Emma. That deep connection to the land has guided every decision he's made on behalf of the farmers we represent. Jed, thank you for your steady leadership, your generosity with your time, and your passion for this work. To Emily, Ethan, and Emma, thank you for sharing him with farmers everywhere. We're so glad Jed's leadership will continue as chairman, and we can't wait to see what comes next. @OhioCornWheat

Important look at the cost pressure facing American farmers. Policy certainty and strong markets are critical to the future of agriculture and the economic health of rural America.
The overall cost of operating a farm has risen sharply since the 2018 #farmbill was enacted. Total U.S. farm production expenses increased from approximately $343 billion in 2018 to a projected $492.8 billion in 2026—that's an increase of nearly 44%, or about $150 billion. Agriculture needs markets, and nothing provides that certainty like trade agreements with allied countries. USMCA has benefited American farmers and consumers. Let Congress know you support the trade pact: brnw.ch/21x5oax

This evening's #Harvest26 update comes from Will Moreland, of Moreland Farms in Sumner County! "Overall, we’re still looking at an above-average corn crop, despite a significant stretch of drought that really set in after the Fourth of July. The dry conditions have pulled test weights down some, but yields are still coming in well over 100 bushels per acre in most places. "There’s definitely some variability across fields, particularly in low spots and water holes where we’re still seeing the effects of the heavy rains we had earlier in the spring. At this point, we’re hoping to catch some additional rainfall that could slow corn harvest down a little and provide some much-needed moisture for the soybeans. "We’re currently about 40% complete with corn harvest and moving along pretty well. With how dry conditions have been, harvest has progressed quickly and, overall, we’re pleased with the yields we’re seeing so far."
