In 1963 Malcolm X spoke on celebrities being positioned as “leaders” of/in the Black community. To be honest, this (for lack of a better term) phenomenon is worse in our current climate as the “celebrities” are more plentiful with larger platforms and pop cultural influence.
I’ve accepted the loss because I expected it anyway, but I’m more pissed this morning because we are not a good football team, we punched above our weight class for longer than 60 minutes, and ultimately got fucked over. That team doesn’t need additional help losing.
