I was asked to share resources for people on the #developer #jobhunt and after I put together the list of my own writing and appearances I was a bit taken back by the amount of content that I've produced on the topic, so I thought that I'd share it here.

This job market is insane. I have 12 years of software experience including nearly 5 years of owning tech from top to bottom at a medium company. I've worked in a handful of languages and I don't mind jumping into new things. DM me if you have any leads.

This is just the latest step Memphis school board was terrible They dissolved They took over the county board Old county schools formed small boards New County Board is terrible. This has been happening for decades now.
"Really, the only reason for us moving was schools." 🏫 Suburban school districts are driving an explosive population shift in Shelby County. Arlington is up nearly 500%, Lakeland over 100%, and Collierville 58%. >>>t.ly/PufNr

If you've watched internal docs quietly rot, a Claude skill repo hits the same wall. The fix isn't the files, it's the habits: cheap index, paired open/close, generated views, checks that catch your drift. coreydmccarty.dev/posts/2026…

After 7 weeks of applying for jobs, now I'm doing numerical analysis of keywords across all 74 job descriptions to figure out optimal keywords, at the same time that I'm trying to find human to network with. So if you'd like to help a Sr/Staff Dev out, then DMs are open.

I know that it seems like every software developer out there is looking for work. I'd love to talk to anybody that's either hiring or working for a company that's hiring. If you don't want to reply, feel free to message me directly.

How many software engineers out there are currently looking for work? How are we getting through that ATS/AI gateway and finding Humans?

I'm currently in the market looking to find a senior/staff/principal software engineer role. I would appreciate any help that anyone might have to make connections with reputable recruiters or hiring managers.

I've been working on an #ai project for resume refinement and deciding what positions to apply for based on my actual experience and future desires. Currently I'm refactoring that into a pair of projects (public & private) to become a portfolio example of #AiIntegration

Is there really any reason (other than money) to use a lesser #AI model?

All Charlie Kirk ever did was have an open, respectful dialogue with people he disagreed with. RIP, Charlie. This is a dark day for America.

Charlie Kirk was more committed to peaceful, open dialogue with those who disagreed with him than anyone I know. God blessed him with immense gifts, and he used them boldly and without fear. He knew the risks he was taking, but he did it anyway because he loved his kids & felt a responsibility to the nation they would inhabit. I traveled the entire country with him last year, we spent 1x1 time together in Ohio two weeks ago, spoke to him again 2 days ago. He’s long warned of the rise of political violence & the growing culture of assassination, when few were willing to listen, with a clarity of vision unlike anyone I’ve known. Completely and utterly devastated.

As a hiring manager, I want a balance of self-taught and several different degree field backgrounds together to make us stronger. Sometimes simpler solutions are better, and other times a deep understanding is more beneficial.
Are more and more tech companies not hiring self-taught programmers anymore? Getting a degree in CS shouldn’t be mandatory, just recommended

I'm really enjoying digging into @JamesClear 's work both in reading Atomic Habits and watching interviews that he's done on YouTube. And I'd love to encourage others to do the same. Thanks James for putting this stuff out for people to learn.

hey @X the amount of times that the desktop site prevents me from replying to a post because it seems like it might be automated is extremely annoying. If you're going to require hard page refreshes then maybe you should change the way the site works.
