Why put a "?" above the player's head right after you spawn into Core Keeper?
- ? was the minimum number of bits I could come up with to signal that the character is as confused about this world as you are.
- ? gets you into gameplay and exploration fast.
- ? adds a lighthearted touch in a world that otherwise feels dark and unknown.
- ? tells the player that not knowing is part of the experience.
- ? lets discovery lead the introduction.
- ? works across languages, with low localization risk.
