Advocating for those living with serious brain disorders. We need to be the voice for those that are too sick to fight for their rights

There is nothing more heartbreaking & inhumane than watching your adult child’s serious mental illness exacerbate & not be able to help them because they don’t believe they are ill. #MA families need options to help them get needed treatment #BOSPOLI #MAPOLI #SMIMatters

Caring for a loved one with severe mental illness is exhausting. The constant hypervigilance and fear take an invisible toll. Setting boundaries is not giving up. It is self-preservation. You are doing the best you can—and you are not alone. ❤️ #CaregiverSupport #SMI #NSSC

The Lindsay Clancy case can teach us about severe mental illness, psychosis, and the urgent need to recognize psychosis as the medical emergency it is. This is a conversation we cannot afford to ignore. I hope you’ll read and share. nationalshatteringsilencecoa…

Someone asked me to cite an example of how federally funded PAIMI misuses Olmstead. This is the most famous case, William Bruce killed his mother after PAIMI lawyers fought against attempt to involuntarily treat. Most stories don’t make the news because families don’t have resources or are too afraid to go public. It’s a shame DJ Jaffe’s website wasn’t kept active as he cataloged all these things. psychiatrictimes.com/view/pa…
