Europe is burning. It appears they’re finally breaking the glass on their museum civilization. They will not survive unless they wake up. And soon.
The Museum Civilization
There is a peculiar class of modern Westerner who believes history has been permanently retired.
They speak of conquest the way a child speaks of wolves. Simply confident it no longer applies, offended that you would even mention it, and deeply upset when reminded that teeth still exist.
They insist the world runs on rules now and that borders are sacred. Also that true power has been replaced by paperwork.
This belief is not moral in the least. It’s f*****g archaeological.
They live inside institutions built by violence, defended by men they no longer understand, and guaranteed by forces they refuse to acknowledge. Like tourists wandering a fortress, they admire the stonework while mocking the idea of a siege.
They confuse order with nature. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Then blame the person that reminds them of this.
Civilization is not the default state of humanity. It is an achievement that is temporary, fragile, and expensive. It exists only where force once cleared the ground and still quietly patrols the perimeter.
A lion does not debate the ethics of hunger. Neither does a starving empire.
History is not a morality play, it is a pressure test. When pressure rises, abstractions collapse first. Laws follow power; they do NOT precede it. Property exists only where someone can prevent it from being taken. Sovereignty is not declared, it is enforced.
The modern West outsourced this enforcement, then forgot the invoice existed.
So when someone points out uncomfortable realities (whether about Greenland, Venezuela, or the broader balance of power) they respond with ritual incantations: “You can’t do that.” “That’s wrong.” “That’s against the rules.”
As if the rules themselves are armed. As if history paused because we asked nicely.
This is how empires fall. Not from invasion alone, but from conceptual rot. From mistaking a long season of safety for a permanent condition. From believing lethality is immoral instead of foundational.
Every civilization that forgot how violence works eventually relearned it the hard way. The conquerors did not arrive because they were monsters; they arrived because their victims could no longer imagine them.
The tragedy is not that power still exists. The tragedy is that so many have forgotten it does.
Idk who needs to hear this but civilization is a garden grown atop a graveyard. Ignore the soil, and someone else will plant something far less gentle.
Hate me for being the messenger and asking the hard questions about conquest if you want. You’re just wasting your time.

This post was designed to bring out the weakest people on the internet WRT foreign policy. Stands to reason you’d end up here.
The lukewarm lawyer who knows neither victory or defeat.
Nobody likes you.

Sad that an Army officer doesn’t understand the moral and legal problem with this.

SENIOR BBC PRODUCER speaks out about anti-Israel bias: "All the mistakes in this particular war seem to be in the same direction."
Phil Craig, a senior producer who worked on Panorama, has accused the BBC of bias in their coverage of the war in Gaza.
He says BBC has became partisan due to groupthink on this particular subject.

Shabbat shalom from Tel Aviv.
I am going straight from Israel to an event near, then visiting, Auschwitz. On a Friday night in Israel I am surrounded by vibrant and thriving Jewish existence. A jarring juxtaposition, but together it’s why Israel is so important, especially now.

This is an individual wearing a Hamas headband in NYC saying he wants to kill Zionists.
This is the ideology and belief system we don’t want spreading in the West…
Islam = Din Wa Dawla (Religion and State). Islam's legitimacy depends entirely on state power. The Western belief in Religion and State being separate is completely alien to Islam. Islam is a political ideology which aims to govern all of society. Not just a private faith.
Abdul knows this and that's why he's saying it out loud. Unfortunately the West is still in denial and this is why you keep losing ground to Islam. Toothless liberalism can't match up to an assertive ideology like Islam which demands and pursues dominance.
Individual Muslims who dilute the religion enough to ignore the political dimension are an outlier, not the norm.
I think it's weird how few people are troubled by the gist of Sayed's Islamophobia defense. If you say that asking about support for the Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamophobic attack on your religion, then at some level you're suggesting -- or at least encouraging the inference -- that the MB's form of Islam defines or informs your interpretation of Islam. There are lots of Muslims that don't subscribe to the MB version and when you ask them about the Muslim Brotherhood, they don't respond by saying "how dare you attack my religion?"

Antizionism destroys everything.
Like the Ring, few can resist its promise of power, but it ultimately destroys the wearer.
Imagine genuinely having spent decades in international law and been president of the international criminal tribunal for Rwanda and then deciding in your later years, that you hated Israelis so much that you would publish a report under your own name saying “Israel knew people would die when they went to war; that’s genocide.” That’s @NaviPillay1 for you, a racist who destroyed her legacy forever all because of antizionism.

Indeed. I love that people post this as a response - completely oblivious to the fact that this is exactly the image of destruction that Palestinianism, in prioritizing the weaponizing of the entirety of Gaza, wrought.

@mehdirhasan sums up the curse of the Arab world and the Palestinian anti-dream so well in this post.
He thinks he's quite clever to take a quote from @EinatWilf and juxtapose it with an image of how destroyed Gaza is.
Congratulations @mehdirhasan
it is clear you are a talented person with a high IQ. It is also clear you suffer from the same sick obsession holding back the Arab and Muslim world.
Since its founding - Israel has done nothing but improve its society, its lands, its people, and enrich the societies and economies of every country that works with Israel - from agriculture, academia, medicine and tech. Even simple uneducated Israeli business-people contribute to the societies they move to - by and large.
Einat is totally correct - the core of Zionism is "building" - not in the physical sense- your sarcastic joke about settlements kind of misses the point. What have the Palestinians built??? They had 18 years of almost near independence in Gaza with access to more donor money than any people per capita in history.
They could have genuinely built Gaza into a thriving destination for tourism, an economy, a stable place. It could have honestly looked like a mini-Tel Aviv.... or Dubai.
And yet Hamas invested all that money - tens and hundreds of billions - into terror infrastructure, tunnels, rockets, arms, and lining the pockets of Hamas leaders in an out of Gaza.
You know this surely. Israel had NO bearing on this.
Then Hamas decided to launch the October 7 attack. Perhaps the average Palestinian was against this because of the damage it brought on them - but they were happy to see Israel attacked. Average Gazans joined in the invasion. Average Gazans cheered Hamas on and abused the Israeli victims dragged in Gaza. The anger and frustration with Hamas - you know - is because Israel responded.
Tell me - with your massive intellect and without deflecting - what should Israel have done after October 7? Given that Hamas built such a terror underground infrastructure? Capitulate? take an unfair deal for the hostages and leave?
Zionism does build. The State of Israel - like any self-respecting sovereign state - will f the $##$ out of you if you attack it - especially in the barbaric way Hamas did. Hamas knew that by the way. Hamas knew exactly what would happen.
Rather than chastise Hamas. Rather than say "we the supporters of Palestine messed up - we consistently back the wrong horse - we should call for a change of mentality and mindset and call for deep reconciliation with Israel - we kept cheering on the Jihadists and we were wrong" you kept backing the Jihadist.
And now you're using intellectual sleight of hand to make it seem that the destruction of Gaza came out of nowhere - as if Israel's RESPONSE - was the crime in a vacuum and not a reaction to attempted genocide.
Most of us have no problem with you being a defender of the Palestinian cause - but you are not. you are an attacker of Israel and Jews.
Those who truly care about Palestinians would tell Hamas to pack up and hand over their arms - and for Palestinians to genuinely enter into a serious dialogue and reset of their society - as brave individuals like @afalkhatib keep saying.
But you keep acting the mouthpiece for Jihadists - who wanted war - wanted destruction - and were happy to sacrifice every Gazan and all of Gaza to ignite their holy war.
But surely you know this. Your continued obsession to attack Israel instead of build Palestinian/Arab/Muslim society is what is holding you back.
Israelis don't wake up and say "how can I attack Arabs today" - Israelis wake up and say "how can we launch a new tech company, devise a new medical innovation, farm, educate our youth or at the very least - make money and enjoy life.
You wake up and say "how can I attack Israel and delegitimize it today" in a new and creative way.
Your obsession is the same one burning France down to the ground today. Blame others. Take no responsibility.
Lets see how far this gets you.

is the obsessive ideology of failed societies.
> Be Algerian
> Kick out the French
> Kick out the Jews
> Your country is now a dysfunctional shithole
> $6,000 GDP per capita despite immense natural resources
> Millions of Algerians move to France
> Try to burn down Paris as revenge for how much your country sucks

Some mistakenly think of security as Hamas being armed, while closing their eyes to the constant indoctrination of the population through UNRWA. It’s like trying to clean a river downstream while dumping massive amounts of industrial waste upstream.

Israel is one of the world’s oldest continuous democracies. People are always surprised when I mention that fact until they realize that continuous democracy in countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa, eastern Europe and southern Europe is more recent. Add to the mix challenges of wars, terrorism and waves of mass immigration, and Israel’s democratic tradition (which is a direct continuation of the Zionist congress and Jewish diasporic communal rule before that and millenia of Jewish argumentation) emerges as one of the world’s greatest and most established.
