Food Co-ops on ITV southwest
We now have 7 food Co-ops in Plymouth and plan on starting another 5 in 2025.
These are run and owned by us the members.
They make a difference in so many ways, saving money, access to affordable healthy, nutritious food and building a community.
We're making the move to Bluesky! We'll keep this account open a little longer, but, like a lot of people, we no longer want to be part of what this platform has become.
Join us on Bsky for co-op news and info on how you can start your own food co-op!

ALT An image on the right side shows people gathered around tables. On the tables and on the floor are plastic crates filled with fruit, vegetables, and pantry items. Text on the left side reads: Building food co-operatives to empower communities. Grantee case study: Cooperation Town. www.jrct.org.uk/cooperation-town
Cooperation Town members just brought a pack of @takebackwater leaflets to share with co-ops in our movement.
We are proud to support this campaign. Water is a common resource, not a commodity for the rich to profit from.
Cooperation Town started as an antifascist action.

The party at @CooperationTown Hub is in full swing. A brilliant example of working class solidarity - despite & against all those who try to divide us!
If you are heading over to Gospel Oak, look up for this banner (by our friends @migrantsorg ). We’re inside the yellow doors!
We are very excited to announce that @jrct_uk have awarded us £496K for 5 years! The grant will enable Coop Town to continue grow our movement of community food co-ops across the country. Here is what they wrote about us jrct.org.uk/cooperation-town.
Thanks JRCT for believing in us!
