The McClintock Prize and medal will be conferred during a ceremony in Cologne, Germany, as part of the 2026 Maize Genetics Meeting being held from February 26 - March 1, 2026. The event will include a plenary address by Dr. Ecker to an international audience of meeting attendees.

We need your input on which maize accessions to include in the next round of variant calling. In the upcoming 2025 release, we intend to remap ~2,500 new maize accessions. We aim to incorporate community feedback to make this resource more broadly useful.

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Peter Rogowsky on February 7th, 2024. Peter was involved in maize research and plant science management at INRAE, a member of the MGC Steering Committee, and did pioneering work on maize kernel development.
