That’s the thing - how can a child give consent to this? They don’t understand what it is they’re consenting to - and even doctors are uncertain about many of the risks and likely outcomes.
But mental health seems to decline following these medical interventions. On this basis alone I can’t believe it’s ethical to allow parents to put their children on this path.
For a consenting adult it’s different.
Puberty isn’t a disease. It’s a normal part of human development.
Suppressing it is a major medical intervention - yet the puberty blockers trial is putting children as young as 11 at risk.
Can an 11-year-old truly understand the risks and lifelong implications of a decision like this?
The Government must stop this dangerous trial and put children’s safety first.

As the evidence on folic acid has accumulated over time, the fairy tale of a benign public health intervention that would only save babies with no negative impact has fallen apart.

The Joint List is the only one that stands and fights against all forms of racism: racism against Palestinians, antisemitism, racism against Mizrahi Jews, against former Soviet Union emigrants etc. We are the only ones who really support full equality for everyone, hence, the only way to stop racism and fascism is a massive vote for the Joint List.

Goss stopped the jury learning about Lucy's grievance win.
Thus the jury saw one motive for Jayaram’s Baby K claim: protecting babies.
Knowing she won would have revealed another motive—protecting consultant reputations from the consequences of losing that grievance.

Hill, of course, co-authored the UK's 2025 Strategic Defence Review; this presented Russia as a threat requiring huge increases in UK arms spending. A real peace effort would undermine her professional standing and personal relevance: that's why she is talking about her feelings.
In the dystopian world of Fiona Hill, efforts at diplomacy exacerbate and prolong wars. She doesn't explain how to shorten the Ukraine war. She recognises that Ukraine cannot reclaim all lost territory. Yet she feels victory is possible. Though she doesn't define military victory. Solidarity with Ukraine is victory enough. So she wants Trump to show solidarity. Because not winning is better with friends. Talking to Putin will just prolong the not winning. And that will make Zelensky sad. So he needs more money to soften the not winnimg, however long it takes....
What’s sad: there are people who won’t acknowledge the evidence around this, even to themselves, because they don’t want it to be true.

Anonymity is being vastly misused - Letby and Salmond witnesses (where anonymity gives cover to people telling lies), and now possibly a man accused of sex crime (anonymity prevents further victims from coming forward).
A celebrity (unnamed) is being protected as to identity in case he commits suicide.
He faces serious allegations about his conduct including a sexual offence. Attempts are being made to gag the press citing “risk to life”.
This is not ok. Further potential allegations from other complainants may rely on hearing his name in the press.
Name him. We have had enough serious cases where men were not named, where cover ups took place. This man should not be allowed to manipulate because famous. telegraph.co.uk/gift/f6dbfcc…

The NHS policy of including males in female spaces has had devastating results for women's safety, as our ground-breaking NHS Reports revealed.
🚩 Over a four year period more than 6,500 rapes and sexual assaults - some against children under 13 - were committed in hospitals in England and Wales.
🚩 In Scotland 276 sexual assaults and 12 rapes were committed between 2019 and 2024 in just 57 of Scotland’s 198 hospitals.
The NHS put women and children in harm’s way with its relentless drive for ‘inclusion’ of males in the female estate. The news that the NHS in England will finally comply with the law is good news and long overdue.
