@AU_WGYD "Owning an account isn't the same as economic agency" is the right way to frame it. A 25% gap is wide, and closing it will take products designed around how women actually earn, save and borrow. Thank you for convening this conversation.

Crossing a border is the easy part. Opening a bank account, accessing credit, sending money home affordably and keeping social protection is where many women get stuck. 29.2M migrants in Africa 2024, 47.1% were women & girls.
