Such a poignant image, to see RAF veteran, Dennis Gill, holding a copy of the incredible 'Control Tower Calling' by Nigel Morter @ControlTowerNC. 80 years ago, Dennis would have been very familiar with this building at RAF North Creake!

A gentle reminder that Reform UK is not a democratic political party. It is a private company owned 53% by Nigel Farage & 33% by Richard Tice. It has no real members; it has no democratic policy-making processes. It is an unaccountable entity & play thing of two rich men. Via @FT

Today, you'll see F-35 and F-15 of the USAF, but 80 years ago, it was very different.
Aircrew and ground crew of No. 199 Squadron parade in front of their Short Stirlings at RAF Lakenheath during a visit by the Duke of Gloucester, December 1943.

A superb photo of 199 Squadron back at RAF Lakenheath after a short Tour @RAFIngham earlier in 1943 where they are still fondly remembered today. Last year I visited North Creake in Norfolk and the @ControlTowerNC where they have a Memorial and is a Great place to stay.

Nigel's book details the secret history of RAF North Creake; intertwined with the story of how we found, fell in love with and restored The Control Tower.
