the vaccination cards aren’t more durable because they were designed as a date reminder for subsequent shots, not authoritarianism

Tale of two states:
MA: couldn’t schedule tests less than two weeks out. Had difficulty finding at home tests.
Florida(Miami): can easily find public tests on almost every corner.
It’s easy to see which leaders will be looked at favorably 20 years from now

You can program it to believe anything.
Careful what you teach it.

If Donald Trump had pushed for 'vaccine passports' then 100% of Americans who are currently in favour of them, would be opposed to them.
And 100% of Americans who are currently opposed to them, would still be opposed to them.
You know this is true.

I think I've had discussions w/enough Boomer-tier Trump supporters who believe the 2020 election was fraudulent to extract a general theory about their perspective. It is also the perspective of most of the people at the Capitol on 1/6, and probably even Trump himself. 1/x
When I receive recruiting emails and the contact has their biologically native pronouns portrayed in their profile I immediately default to:
"This company must be a woke cesspool I want nothing to do with"
Is it judgy? Probably. But it's also probably not wrong.
I can’t say this anymore clearly
If you’re in tech and you believe that it makes sense to unionize or “petition” leadership to effectively bully them
You have delusional levels of entitlement
If you don’t trust leadership, leave. No one is forcing you to stay.
A reality that I think is essential to think through:
You think if they had a vaccine during the Black Death you’d need propaganda/media to convince you to take it?
Truth is if it was so necessary you wouldn’t need to convince anyone. Especially with condescension.

California is a joke
California has rejected nearly 20% of the signatures for the 2021 Newsom recall, but rejected fewer than 1% of mail-in ballots during the 2020 presidential election.🤔

Just because you generally agree with the party that's doing the tyrannical thing doesn't make the thing any less tyrannical
I will never understand that argument of:
"I can't believe this high-growth, disruptive company re-invested everything in R&D so they aren't paying any corporate taxes"
Like the government would have somehow done better with that money.
Awesome our move towards looking like SF continues 👍
Thank god I’m out of this city this summer. It’s insane how quickly you can drive a city into the dirt
I am announcing proposed changes to policing in @CityofSanDiego. Through these changes and intentional conversations, I believe we can foster a more equitable police service, do away with antiquated practices, create a safer city, and be a model for the nation. #ForAllofUs

This whole exchange, imo, perfectly examples a common view that I think she will regret here:
"If you don't hold my opinion, you must be stupid"
I find this to be common with progressives who are so in their echo chamber they no longer contend with any conservative ideas
Do not foolishly confuse “nice” with “good.”
