This is the debate I want to have with liberals:
Why is it that all my right wing friends can work for, be friends with, be neighbors to, spend Thanksgiving with, and generally have pleasant and civil interactions with liberals. We will even -- get this -- go to great lengths to hide our personal politics at work and in friendships -- just for the sake of harmony and not upsetting liberals!
And yet liberals are mostly completely unable to do this, and will cut off conservative friends and even family, shun friendly neighbors, and show openly hostility if they know your politics.
Who would like to debate me on this?

Not only did it happen, there's even more damning details that I left out of the story. (Didn't know it was going to go viral-ish so I kept the post pretty simple.) Every one of my four children have encountered scenarios like this in Seattle Public school. The children of my local conservative moms face similar things. But I suppose this is probably a matter of projection. You make things up to justify your position so you assume other people do as well.

9th grade teacher: The holiday season is coming up, and we will not be playing Christmas music, saying Merry Christmas or talking about Christianity.
15yo Faust son: that's a violation of my first amendment rights.
Teacher: Well, sometimes schools can make special rules to protect the mental health of the class.
Based 4th Faust: I have a right to feee speech and a right to exercise my religion.
Teacher: Well, those are the rule for our class and I will write you up if you break them.
Knows-his-rights-Faust: my parents would be so proud of me if I got written up about this.

I never talk about this book & haven't done interviews on it for months. Yet it's currently #19,000.
But I hear from tons of parents, "IT ACTUALLY WORKS!" Like beggars sharing where to find bread, it spreads by word-of-mouth among school/church networks.

They really don't. You actually can get kids through high school drug-free, alcohol-free, with their genders and bodies intact, their minds unflayed, chaste, and devout.
If I can do this in Los Angeles(!!), so can you.

26 years ago, two kids got married.
Since then, some things have changed. We've lived in three states, two countries, six houses. Owned four dogs and more cats than I can count, attended several wonderful churches, and reinvented our careers.
Some things have stayed the same. Namely the faithfulness of our God, and our promise to hold fast come what may. (May has both come and gone.)
There has been seasons of "poorer," "sickness," and "worse." But overall, the union has produced "richer," "health," and "better."
The best fruit of all is four children who bring us more joy every year. Turns out, children are not just a heritage of the Lord, but the best people to hang out with on a Friday night. 
Happy anniversary to my best friend, our household champion, and my favorite variety of eye candy.
