Labour is still insisting the Chagos surrender is about “security”. What rubbish. Since when did Western security mean giving away strategically vital British territory, handing over the home of one of the most important UK-US military bases on Earth, and then PAYING a friend of China to rent it back? And perhaps someone could explain something else to Andy Burnham: it is 2026, not 1826. You do not sit in Whitehall, draw lines on maps and dispose of a people’s homeland over their heads. The Chagossians must have a say in their own future. Protect Britain. Protect the West. Listen to the Chagossians. KEEP CHAGOS. DUMP THE DEAL. 🇬🇧 See less

How is someone with this grasp of basic economics sitting in the House of Commons making laws for the rest of us? Labour MP Jonathan Brash actually wrote that the private sector “wouldn’t exist without taxpayers”. Not satire. Not a parody account. An elected Member of Parliament. The private sector creates businesses, jobs and wealth, and generates vast amounts of the tax revenue that pays for the state in the first place. Yet someone who apparently struggles with that elementary concept gets a vote on our taxes, our economy and how billions of pounds of public money are spent. He has, predictably, deleted the post. You can delete the tweet, Jonathan. You can’t delete the staggering economic illiteracy that produced it.

A father may never know the full impact he has on a child's life. The bedtime stories. The advice. The encouragement. The example he sets through hard work, resilience and love. Years later, those moments become character, confidence and memories that last forever. Today we thank all the fathers and father figures who help raise the next generation. Happy Father's Day. 🇬🇧

Has Rupert Lowe changed his mind on splitting the vote? In his own words: "Every leaflet you deliver is a leaflet for the Labour candidate." So what changed? Why do so many politicians say one thing when it's convenient, then do the exact opposite when the opportunity arises?

EDITOR'S NOTE: I write this as a loyal Conservative who wants Kemi Badenoch and the Tory Party to succeed. But #Worcestershire was not Westminster fantasy politics. It was local councillors trying to restore stability after a year of chaos under Reform. Adam Kent is a serious Conservative, a man of integrity, and he has been punished for exercising local judgement in difficult circumstances. The old Conservative Party trusted local leaders. Increasingly, this one seems frightened of them. My open letter to Kemi Badenoch.
