To walk on your path with confidence is to walk on your path trusting what God has in store for you, and the key is to remember that at all times

There is a place in a man's heart that no one else can enter. Not his mother. Not his friends. Not even his success. It is a quiet room. Sacred. Hidden. And only one woman ever gets the key. Not the loudest. Not the most beautiful. But the one who made him feel safe. The one who saw him when he had nothing. The one who believed in him when he doubted himself. The one who never made him perform. The one who let him just be. That woman becomes the center of his happiness. She does not chase him. She does not beg for his attention. She simply becomes his peace. And once a man finds his peace in a woman, he never wants to leave. Because she is not just in his life. She is in his soul.

Anne baban senin nasıl yaşlandığını göremeyecek.Partnerin seni çocukluğundan beri tanımıyor. Çocukların genç halini çok az hatırlayacak. En yakın arkadaşların bile geçmişinin tamamını bilmiyor. Hayatının ilk gününden sonuna kadar seninle olacak tek kişi sensin

There exists in such a case a certain institution or law; let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a fence or gate erected across a road. The more modern type of reformer goes gaily up to it and says, “I don’t see the use of this; let us clear it away.” To which the more intelligent type of reformer will do well to answer: “If you don’t see the use of it, I certainly won’t let you clear it away. Go away and think. Then, when you can come back and tell me that you do see the use of it, I may allow you to destroy it.

The best thing about finding the right person is that you no longer feel the need to perform for their love. You can just exist messy, tired, quiet, honest, and completely yourself and they still choose to stay. There’s something beautiful about being loved without having to constantly prove that you’re worth loving. That kind of love changes you from the inside out.

Sometimes grief hides in the most ordinary places...and then, years later, ambushes you while you’re changing a light bulb.

DEVENS:
Interestingly enough, Patrick Devens goes by Rick Devens on LinkedIn but has come to be called Devens of CBS fame.
Incidentally, he lists “Survivor 38 & 50” as his LinkedIn headline as opposed to “Director of Communications” which is definitely a choice but his choice alone.
I wonder if he’ll add Big Brother 28 to that headline tho it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to add it as “Winner,” considering he came into the #BB28 house a two-time loser who’d won the hearts of many Americans.
It’s not hard to see why he appealed to so many people tho. Seemingly a harmless, good-hearted, boy-next-door-who-grew-up-to-be-the-dad-next-door. Based on his time on Survivor alone, you probably wouldn’t mind having him as a neighbor, believing he’d lend you his hammer or hotdog when you needed one.
He’s got two kids and two cats and two dogs like he’s re-creating his own Devens’ Ark. His wife is probs his biggest flex, in reality.
Alas, because of live feeds, you get to see multiple dimensions of a person on BB and not just in 1D like on Survivor. You get to see people in 2D on BB.
And some of us didn’t like everything we saw in Devens in 2D. Despite his expertise in public relations and communications, Devens chose to use questionable and offensive words in a broader pattern of microaggressive and targeted behavior against the Black women in the house.
But considering he’s said in previous press interviews that his pet peeve is people “not taking ownership of actions,” and the fact that his wife is not an idiot (far from it), I do have hope that Devens will watch the footage of himself and eventually pick up his jaw off the floor and make things right.
But behaviors aside, Devens the Aries, is pretty much an Aries through and through (I know this because my son Noah is an Aries). Bold and passionate, impatient and impulsive, and most of all quick-tempered (which we’ve also seen signs of throughout the season). But because of these traits, he’s actually a dynamic and interesting HG.
And men his age rarely ever get to a final three in the BB house, so kudos to him for playing into Drew’s daddy issues but not being the annoying dad to the rest of the HGs (which is an easy role to fall into when you’re a dad).
Devens years of experience in the public space allowed him to small talk like a master and remain pragmatic in his dealings inside his 14,099 alliances.
It’s a shame that he was put in a power position by production the first week and then given the HOH the second week before being handed a power the third week and whatever other advantages he got, because I would have liked to see how he fared on his own. But there’s no way he would have made it to final three without all his advantages and I stand by that 101%.
However, we can’t deny that he provided all the right sound bites and cam talks to bring us along the ride. CBS def got their money’s worth out of him and he snatched $10K to boot in exchange, perhaps, for ditching Drew given the chance and losing that jury vote OR being cut at the last possible moment in the game and leaving as a three-time loser? They said the third time’s a charm…

"Happy wife, happy life" sounds cute, but I prefer "Happy spouse, happy house." Both people deserve to feel loved, heard, and emotionally safe.

Without a doubt, one of the best pieces of media in existence. Period.
Duncan Trussell recorded this conversation with his mother while she was facing terminal cancer.
What you’re hearing isn’t scripted. It isn’t performed. It’s a son sitting with his dying mother trying to hold onto every word before the words run out.
And she, the one facing the end, is the one doing the comforting.
That is what makes these conversations so extraordinary. Not the wisdom itself, as profound as it is. But who it’s coming from. A woman who had every reason to be consumed by her own fear choosing instead to spend what little time remained helping her son understand how to live without her.
These recordings became the heart of The Midnight Gospel. And I always go back to watch it again.
They remain some of the most honest conversations about death, love and what it means to be human ever put on screen…
