Check out my and @ProfJudiAllen's commentry in @ImmunityCP on how IL-4 signalling in macrophages protects against aging. Great work from the Yifu Qiu lab. So many implications... @TCDTMI @LydiaBeckerIII cell.com/immunity/fulltext/S…
Still time to submit a CV for a PhD with me in @tcddublin @TrinityMed1. Investigating differentitation paths of macrophages in kidney autommunity. EU applicants only. DM or email a CV. Search research jobs in school of medicine at tcd.ie/hr/vacancies/ for deets.
Nice preprint @barton_lab. KLF2 in large (serous) cavity macrophage development. Much more complex role for Tfs than in 2014. Now we have a complex interplay of many TFs, Bhlhe40, Rxrs, Gata6. KLF2 acts early, before retinotic acid.

Researchers from @TrinityMed1 have explored the use of extremely rare immune cells to predict how well treatments work for chronic spontaneous urticaria or #recurringhives in a recently published study in the journal Allergy. #researchMATTERS

See our study on Mast Cell progenitors, out in @AllergyEaaci. My 1st senior author work, along with Niall Conlon @TCDTMI @TrinityMed1. Collab effort @tcdflow @ClionaOfarrelly, many more! Katie Ridge @ridgek was the talanted driving force behind the study.

I got huge support from Trinity Translational Medicine Insitute @TCDTMI to devleop a single cell omics platform (formal launch soon). Thanks to Director Aideen long, Eamon Breen, Frank Mangan, Ross MacManus, Nicole Wood.
Hey anyone have R code to convert CITE-seq data in Seurat (or similar) into .FCS files for use in @FlowJoNow? flowcore @Bioconductor can write FCS files but I don't want to write the code myself, I'll mess it up!
On twitter for the first time in 6 months: nearly get scammed on gig tickets and my feed is 80% culture war, 10% science, 10% NSFW, wtf? (still better craic than linkedin I suppose)

Thrilled to see this work out! It’s been an absolute pleasure to lead this project at the @Hepworth_Lab! See below for a nice tweetorial on our findings showing that Bcl6 is a defining transcription factor of LTi-like ILC3 🔬🧬

I'm excited to finally share my FIRST first author paper out now in @eLife ! We found that C1q functions as a regulator of gastrointestinal motility 💩

A couple of posts in the #biomarker space to help develop personalised algorithms for prediction of #autoimmune disease relapse, as part of @PARADISE__AI EU project. RT welcome :-) @ICL_Vasculitis @anzvasc @Vasculitis_Lund

So cool, always felt the RNA velocity analysis was unstable when messing with hyperparameters, looks like a more stable way to infer cell development.

[Tweeting a week late!] Check out my paper in @ImmunityCP on Th2 cells, macrophages and nematodes. @ProfJudiAllen tweeted the main take-home messages last week, but let me add some thoughts on where we can go from here, and get in a few words of gratitude. cell.com/immunity/fulltext/S…
To point out 2 authors. @Labninja2 our resident parasitologist. The L. sigmodontis parasite is a precious resource that very few labs have the capacity to provide. We had Brian to make it happen all while keeping a smile on everyone's face.
2nd author @JamesEP_ who is fast becoming the most capable scientist at @LydiaBeckerIII. @ProfJudiAllen All the team (@AChenery_ @jesuthas86 @Lili_Zhang_Dr @PH_Papotto Stella Pearson to name only few!) for making my time there so exciting and fun.
