I couldn’t believe it. YouTube has confirmed they made a mistake and my channels didn’t violate their policies. All 6 have been reinstated. For weeks, I couldn’t get a real answer. It took my tweets reaching millions of people and even hiring a lawyer before this finally got resolved. I was fortunate enough to have an audience that could amplify this and the resources to get legal help. A lot of creators don’t. They can lose years of work and their livelihood overnight without a way to fight it. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who shared and interacted with my posts. I don’t think this would have been resolved without that attention. I feel relieved to have my channels back. But creators shouldn’t need millions of impressions, public pressure or even a lawyer just to get a wrongful termination properly reviewed. @YouTube this system needs to be better.
Let me get this straight. YouTube deletes my channels with over 1M subscribers, 3,000+ videos and 7 years of hard work, despite me never having received a strike or warning. When I ask for a reason, they refuse to give me one because providing the specifics could enable “circumvention” of their policies. So YouTube can delete years of work, but creators aren’t even allowed to know what they supposedly did wrong? How is anyone supposed to appeal a decision they aren’t even allowed to understand? Every creator should be concerned about a system where this can happen without a clear explanation. Please share this. Creators deserve transparency. @TeamYouTube

I see a lot of confusion on why it seems like after getting monetized your views suddenly drop. Truth is, it has nothing to do with monetization, but how YouTube is pushing videos from newer channels! Good videos being pushed likely will help get a channel monetization, but that's it. Once the new channel boost is over, your views drop, then bounce back once they find the audience! YouTube would NEVER NOT push a good video just because they're now splitting the money. That doesn't make sense. A good video incentivizes more watch-time, more interest on the platform, and more money for them! So why would they punish you? It's simple. They wouldn't. Here's a little thing I made to get this point across on some of my own projects!
