🚨Exclusive. Manchester United are finalising a deal to sign Rebeca Bernal from Washington Spirit. Bernal was not in the Spirit squad that faced Bay FC today. Deal expected to get completed before the deadline. thecutback.com/p/manchester-… @The_Cutback #MUWomen

FT Liverpool 3-5 Man United United win three from three in the Subway players cup. Defensively looked all over the place at times but good attacking play. Really strange game to watch. Thought Hill and Griffiths did well. Up next is Man City on Sunday. #MUWomen

Scarlett Hill and Mared Griffiths deserved starts against WSL opposition tonight, both really impressed so far this season for club & country. #MUWomen

Asked Eva Olid about the appointment of José Herrera as assistant head coach “José, we know each other from football and he has the same mentality and tactical knowledge, and that helps. All the members of staff need to give something to the team and have different profiles and different personalities. For me it’s so important and I think now we are ready, with everything in place, we are ready” #MUWomen @The_Cutback

Eva Olid on the fitness of the squad ahead of Sunday; “Nothing big came back, nothing that is 100% sure they are not going to be available, just small things to check.” No update on Riviere or Watson “The players came back in today and we are still assessing, I will know later if they are available or not. We don’t have confirmation, that will be tonight or tomorrow morning” #MUWomen @The_Cutback

🇳🇴 Elisabeth Terland hat-trick for Norway tonight. #MUWomen

New for @The_Cutback ✍️ Five things I took away from the 1-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday. - Lundkvist, Tullis-Joyce and Terland highlighted. - Final third issues - Regaining the resilience in defence Some post-match quotes from Eva too. #MUWomen thecutback.com/p/united-five…

Player of the match for me. Everyone talks about playing out from the back but still the most important skill for a keeper is keeping the ball out the net. Phallon Tullis-Joyce remains one of the best around when it comes to that. #MUWomen

FT Man United 1-0 Liverpool I think it’s fair to say Liverpool were the better side overall. That felt like a defensive performance of old for United. Everyone had to really dig in, especially the second half. It’s a big win and an important clean sheet for Eva Olid. That makes it 4 wins from 4 now and unbeaten in the last 5. Not bad considering the opening two games. #MUWomen @The_Cutback

Hasn’t got a goal yet but really liking what I’ve seen from Elisabeth Terland so far today. Leading the press well, forcing Liverpool into errors. She’s linking up the play and holding the ball up extremely well too. Looks really on it. #MUWomen

Manchester United 1-0 up inside the opening ten minutes after a great chip from Zigiotti. They look dynamic in attack so far today. Lightning start from Eva Olid’s side. #MUWomen

Match number 250 for Manchester United Women. United vs Liverpool📍🏟️ #MUWomen @The_Cutback

Eva Olid on Liverpool: “We need to give everything, every week, it doesn’t matter who the opposition is, we have to try to win every game. Prepare 100%, play 100% every week because all opponents are difficult.” #MUWomen @The_Cutback

Eva Olid giving a squad update ahead of Liverpool tomorrow: “Everyone is okay, apart from those who have longer injuries from previously. The rest is the same” #MUWomen @The_Cutback

FT Durham 1-5 Man United Comfortable overall. That’s two wins from two in this competition for United. Simpson and Griffiths looked very good in both games. United finished the game with six academy graduates on the pitch, really good to see. #MUWomen

Jess Simpson, Mared Griffiths, Scarlett Hill, Layla Drury, Jess Anderson and Lucy Newell all featuring tonight. Really good to see that Eva Olid trusts the youth. Eva told me on Sunday “they deserve it” and stuck to her word of fans seeing more younger players today. #MUWomen

Classic 4-4-2 I believe. Good to see Park, Zigiotti, Tullis-Joyce and Medina all given the night off to rest. #MUWomen
