You may have slept through some history. Before Russia annexed Crimea it belonged to everyone from the Ottomans to the Greeks. Russia wasn't defending its sovereignty, it was invading another nation and infringing on that nation's sovereignty after putting sanctions on Ukraine in 2013 and declaring they wouldn't recognize Ukraine's borders before there was ever a change in Ukraine's government. We're done here. I'm not going to argue with someone who's ignorant of history and facts and is a Putin apologist.

We should be doing a lot of things. But stealing from those who've paid into Social Security because younger generations of politicians won't stop spending and pay off the national debt isn't one of them. And the government does hold that money, in the form of debt and a legal obligation, however much you wish it were otherwise. It would only take 2-4 years to make its future safe and the fund solvent and end everyone's panic attacks, but nobody wants to fix the problem. Regardless, if young people don't want to keep watching the debt pile up, they're going to have to get serious about a hundred other issues besides Social Security which isn't a drain on anything. It's politicians robbing the fund that are the problem. If young people weren't so squeamish and we brought back accountability and public executions, the problem would fix itself in no time.

I should add, and then it was German. But the point is that it wasn't Russian. Russia seized European territory. If you're saying they can do it, then Ukraine or NATO can do it. If you're saying Russia can put nukes wherever it likes, including in Europe/NATOs backyard, then Europe and NATO can do the same. The only hypocrite here is you suggesting Putin and Russia are somehow an aggrieved party beset by mean old NATO. Nobody in Europe wanted to be ruled by the USSR or wants to be ruled by Russia any more than they wanted to be ruled by Nazi Germany.

And Kaliningrad wasn't Russian before they seized it during World War II. It was Prussian.

First, that's stupid. Allying with whomever you want isn't the same as moving nuclear weapons into someone's backyard. You're suggesting it's alright for Russia to move nuclear weapons into NATO's backyard but not for NATO to move nuclear weapons into Russia's backyard. And as to NATO expansion, Putin himself said Ukraine could ally with whomever they wanted, back in 2002. Then the commie changed his mind.

That's silly. Read the Constitution, especially the part that mentions "The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned." It absolutely is the money of Social Security enrollees—they earned it, it was withheld from their paychecks and the government holds it on their behalf. Trying to take money from Social Security to fund other, stupid and unnecessary programs and entitlements and piss away money on foreign aid and illegal aliens, pork spending projects and giving trillions of dollars to foreign nations is the problem. Nobody is stealing from younger generations. Younger generations, however, need to stop voting for never-ending spending on illegal aliens, nanny-state nonsense and costing the government money with every stupid fucking riot they engage in when their feelings are hurt. Who do they think pays for all that? Taxpayers, that's who. Younger generations won't see a dime if they can't learn to say no to green climate scams like the Obama and Biden administrations went crazy handing out loans to companies everyone knew were going to go bankrupt. And if young people want a country full of foreign born fraudsters bilking taxpayers out of billions of dollars annually, they shouldn't complain about Social Security or any other program meant to benefit Americans drying up.
