If you ask an Accounting grad about their experience at PCC, you’ll probably hear about Dr. Schmuck. He has used his experience at a national accounting firm to prepare students for careers in business while encouraging them to honor the Lord in their work. His faith shapes the way he teaches and invests in his students, reminding them that success goes beyond technical knowledge and professional skills. “Teaching is my calling to serve students by equipping them to succeed in the accounting world to which God has called them.” Above all, Dr. Schmuck hopes his students graduate with a commitment to excellence, a willingness to think creatively, and a servant's heart that reflects Christ in the workplace. In General Physics I, students explore motion and forces through hands-on experiments that bring classroom concepts to life. Under the guidance of Dr. Shane Smith, students collect and analyze data, test theoretical predictions, and work collaboratively to solve problems. Along the way, they strengthen their understanding of physics while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. 💻⚖️ Explore areas of interest at PCC: start.pcci.edu/Obk3RDO

David’s life demonstrated courage in the face of opposition, character in how he treated those who wronged him, and a genuine passion for the Lord. Even when Saul sought to kill him, David chose to honor the man God had placed in authority. In today’s chapel message, Evangelist Rich Tozour challenged students to consider what it means to have a heart for God and whether their love for the Lord is evident in their lives. PCC is back to normal operations following Hurricane Isaias, and classes have resumed! We’re thankful for the Lord’s protection and provision throughout the storm and glad to see campus life returning to its regular rhythm as students settle back into their class schedules and daily routines. 💙

Preparing teachers to make a difference in the lives of their students starts long before they enter the classroom. 📚 At PCC, education majors learn, practice, and prepare for the responsibility of teaching through hands-on experiences and a strong academic foundation. The Teacher Education Scholarship is one way we’re helping students pursue that calling. Qualified education majors can receive a tuition benefit of up to $12,600 over eight semesters! We continue to thank God for His protection and provision through the storm as well as the beautiful weather afterward. Most campus facilities, including the dining halls, are now open, and cleanup efforts continue across campus and in surrounding communities. Many students are voluntarily serving our neighbors by clearing yard debris and showing Christ’s love through practical help. As many commuter students, staff, and faculty live in areas that still lack power, Campus Church held a single church service today, and classes are canceled for tomorrow, to allow for continued recovery efforts and account for travel conditions. This morning, students and staff woke up to a crisp October day and we are thankful for God’s protection. Hurricane Isaias made landfall approximately 50 miles east of campus and passed through the Panhandle relatively quickly. Our Emergency Operations crew is diligently working to clear key pathways and remove large debris from around campus in an effort to ensure that operations can return to normal as soon as possible.

PCC is currently experiencing tropical storm-force winds, and a shelter-in-place notice has been issued on campus. Students are safe and secure in residence halls, with bottled water and dinner provided, and all facilities have transitioned smoothly to full generator power. We anticipate lifting the shelter-in-place tomorrow morning, as conditions permit. To see the latest update, visit pcci.edu/Announcements.aspx?…

The Pensacola area is currently experiencing light rain from the outer bands of Hurricane Isaias. PCC’s nursing labs have been renovated and upgraded to provide an even more comprehensive, hands-on learning environment for nursing students. 🩺 With expanded spaces, hospital-standard equipment, and a new simulation lab featuring specialized suites for ICU, maternity, med-surg, and pediatric care, students can practice in realistic settings before stepping into clinical experiences. Seth shared. "You could make a huge difference for someone just by giving a little of your time.” Blood drive is one of many ways that students support the community and participate in local outreach. ❤️

We asked a few PCC students to share what the Lord has been teaching them, and their answers are a reminder of the ways He is working in each of our lives! 🌿
