“The Winner Takes It All” is from ABBA’s 1980 album Super Trouper. The sweeping, melancholic ballad became one of the group’s most successful and critically acclaimed songs, reaching No. 1 in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland, as well as No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. It became ABBA’s fourth and final US Top 10 hit, spending 26 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.
Known for its emotional depth and soaring production, the song was inspired in part by the real-life divorce of Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog. However, Björn described the story in the lyrics as fictional rather than a literal account of their separation. When he gave Agnetha the lyrics to read, she became so emotional that tears welled up in her eyes.

We are about to see one of the largest rain events that’s ever been triggered in the continental United States by a Pacific Hurricane.
After making landfall in Baja California, the saturated remnants of former-Category 5 Hurricane Polo are going to inject a massive conveyor belt of deep, tropical moisture up through NW Mexico and into the U.S.
South-Central Texas could be at the epicenter of the event, with isolated rain totals potentially reaching up to a FOOT this week.

Hurricane Polo is only a few hours away from possibly becoming the FIRST known Major Hurricane to make landfall on the western coast of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
Usually, the ocean temps this far north are too lukewarm to sustain CAT 3+ intensity (which is why the three existing Major Hurricane landfalls in Baja have all come from the south and/or the Sea of Cortez).
But this year, with the El Niño supercharged warmth of the Pacific, Polo has an unfortunate chance to enter the record books again. The Hurricane Hunters are investigating the storm now to discover its true strength.

あまりにキレが良すぎて。
黒幕はオムニ社の役員、だからオムニ社によって改造されたロボコップは逮捕も攻撃もできない。
なら、その場で解雇してしまえばいい。
確かに痛快な展開ではあるが、企業の論理で人間を一瞬で「役員ではない存在」にしてしまう厭なブラックさもある。
エンタメ性と社会風刺の超高度な表裏一体は正に本作の魅力そのもの。
そして、
「良い腕だな。名前は？」
「……マーフィー。」
ここでロボコップが「マーフィー」と名乗る。
人間だった頃の自我を取り戻したことを、この一言で宣言する。
そこから最強にカッコいいメインテーマが高鳴っていく音楽のタイミングにピタリと合わせて暗転。
