$META VS. $TSLA: EARNINGS WEEK IS HERE
Two of the biggest names in tech are preparing to report earnings, but their stock performance in 2026 has taken very different paths.
$META is up on the year.
$TSLA is down on the year.
Both companies face high expectations, and their upcoming reports could give investors a fresh look at their growth, business performance, and outlook for the months ahead.
One is riding positive momentum, while the other has something to prove.
With earnings around the corner, which stock would you rather hold at current prices: $META or $TSLA?
TWO STOCK PURCHASES. TWO GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS. BOTH ON THE SAME DAY.
June 18: Trump disclosed a Boeing ($BA) stock purchase worth up to $500,000. On that same date, Boeing received an $880 million U.S. Navy contract.
June 24: Trump disclosed a Palantir ($PLTR) stock purchase worth up to $250,000. That same day, Palantir reportedly secured a $45.8 million government contract.
That’s up to $750,000 in stock purchases across two companies with government contracts announced on the same dates.
The timing raises serious questions about transparency, conflicts of interest, and whether existing ethics safeguards are strong enough when a president has financial exposure to companies doing business with the federal government.
In a democracy, public officials should be held to the highest standards of accountability. These transactions deserve scrutiny, clear answers, and a transparent explanation of the circumstances.
🚨 REP. DAVID TAYLOR ADDS TO HIS $RPM POSITION
Taylor has now reported three purchases of RPM International shares since March.
Here’s why it stands out:
• What the company does: RPM sells construction and infrastructure products, including concrete repair solutions and materials used on roads and bridges.
• Committee connection: Taylor serves on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, which oversees policy areas relevant to the infrastructure sector.
• Repeated buying: This marks his third disclosed purchase of $RPM since March, putting the stock back in focus.

Nancy Pelosi’s Intel $INTC position has taken a hit.
Back in June, she disclosed roughly $1.5M in call options when shares were trading near $110.
As the stock pulled back toward $92, she added more calls and another 10,000 shares.
Intel then rallied to around $120, but the momentum has since reversed. This week’s sell-off wiped out September’s gains and pushed the stock below her reported entry levels.
Pelosi’s roughly $2M Intel position is now estimated to be down around 27%.
Even one of the most closely tracked congressional investors isn’t immune to a market reversal.
Rep. Lisa McClain’s latest financial disclosure revealed two purchases of ImmunityBio $IBRX, dated September 28 and September 30, each reported in the $1K–$15K range.
The timeline is drawing attention:
📅 Sept. 28 & 30: Two $IBRX purchases were made by her spouse, according to the disclosure.
🏛️ Oct. 4: HHS announced Michael Caputo’s appointment to the President’s Cancer Panel. Caputo previously served in the Trump administration.
📈 The following two weeks: $IBRX reportedly rallied 23%.
The two trades were disclosed on October 12, roughly two weeks after the transaction dates. The stock is now up around 16% from its price when the first purchase was made.
The timing is notable, but it does not establish a connection between the trades and the appointment. It’s a sequence worth tracking as more details emerge.

Ro Khanna bought $MRNA while the stock was still near its lows.
Back in August, Moderna was trading nearly 90% below its 2020 peak.
Khanna reportedly saw an opportunity, buying shares in August and adding to his position again in early September.
Since then, $MRNA has staged a massive comeback, surging more than 600% year to date and becoming the S&P 500’s top-performing stock over that stretch.
And despite the explosive rally, Khanna is still holding his position.
A remarkable turnaround for a stock that was written off by many investors just months ago.
📈 The big question now: Is $MRNA’s rally just getting started, or has the easy money already been made?
🚨 BREAKING: Trump warns of a 1929-style economic depression if Democrats win the midterms.
President Trump is arguing that a Democratic victory could trigger severe economic consequences, while predicting stronger growth if Republicans retain control.
Meanwhile, market-based estimates put the probability of a U.S. recession next year at around 20%.
That’s a stark contrast between Trump’s political warning and the current market outlook.
Is the economy heading for a downturn, or are recession fears overblown?
🚨 $UNH REPORTS EARNINGS TOMORROW
UnitedHealth’s numbers tell an interesting story.
Since 2021, revenue has climbed from $288B to $450B, a 57% increase.
But profits have moved in the opposite direction, falling from $17.3B to $14.1B, down roughly 18%.
Meanwhile, $UNH is still trading around 40% below its all-time high.
The company is generating significantly more revenue, but turning that growth into profit has become a challenge.
Tomorrow’s earnings could offer more clarity on the road ahead.
📈 Is $UNH a turnaround opportunity at these levels, or a value trap?

🚨 BREAKING: $META RALLIES AFTER MAJOR AI ANNOUNCEMENT
Meta has unveiled Muse Wonder, its latest AI model, with Mark Zuckerberg claiming the company has caught up with industry leaders OpenAI and Anthropic.
The market is reacting fast. $META climbed 3.5%, adding approximately $40 billion in market capitalization following the announcement.
The move also puts the spotlight on congressional stock holdings. 27 politicians, including President Donald Trump, reportedly hold $META.
Meta’s AI ambitions are back in focus, and investors are paying attention.

A high 30-year Treasury yield doesn’t automatically mean a recession is coming. Long-term yields also reflect inflation expectations, government borrowing, and the extra return investors demand for holding bonds. But calling the recession risk 0% is incredibly confident. Markets rarely give us that kind of certainty.
BREAKING: Byron Donalds Holds a 10-Point Lead in Florida’s 2026 Governor Race
Florida Governor Polling
🟥 Byron Donalds: 52%
🟦 David Jolly: 42%
Republicans have maintained a strong grip on Florida’s governor’s office, winning every election since 1998. With the GOP strengthening its statewide performance over recent election cycles, Donalds enters the race with a significant advantage.
A victory would make Donalds Florida’s first Black governor and the first Black governor elected in the Deep South, marking a historic milestone for the state.

Wall Street is betting on future corporate profits, especially AI. Main Street is dealing with the cost of living right now. A handful of mega-cap stocks can push the S&P 500 to record highs without the average American feeling any better off.
🚨 JUST IN: Telecom stocks are under pressure as SpaceX sets its sights on the U.S. mobile market.
Elon Musk’s SpaceX reportedly plans to expand Starlink into a major U.S. mobile carrier, raising the prospect of tougher competition for established telecom giants.
The sell-off has hit all three major names:
📉 $T AT&T: -11.30%
📉 $VZ Verizon: -11.30%
📉 $TMUS T-Mobile: -13.30%
Starlink’s push into mobile services could reshape the competitive landscape, putting pressure on traditional carriers to defend their customers, pricing, and market share.
The big question: Could satellite-powered mobile service become a serious threat to the telecom industry?

Donald Trump reportedly bought McDonald’s $MCD at around $270 per share.
Today, the stock is trading near $235, putting it roughly 13% below his reported entry price.
That’s a drop of about $35 per share from the level at which the purchase was made.
Another reminder that even high-profile investors can find themselves on the wrong side of a trade.

Either she’s playing the long game or she’s waiting for a rebound. No way to know yet, but we’ll be watching $INTC closely.

Nancy Pelosi has disclosed roughly $6.5M in purchases of Intel $INTC across multiple transactions this year.
And so far, none of those shares have been reported as sold.
The interesting part? $INTC is now trading roughly 7% below her reported entry price, meaning the stock is available at a lower price than the levels tied to her disclosed purchases.
With Intel back in focus amid the push to strengthen U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, this is a position worth keeping an eye on. 📊
