Connecting the Coast to the Hinterland | CII Karnataka Port & Logistics Conference 2026
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) successfully organized the 2nd Edition of the CII Karnataka Port & Logistics Conference 2026 on 29 September 2026 in Mangaluru, centered around the theme: “Connecting the Coast to the Hinterland: Driving Export-Import Excellence and Regional Prosperity.”
The conference brought together industrialists, shipping lines, exporters, importers and logistics stakeholders with a shared objective of strengthening the region’s logistics ecosystem and accelerating efficient EXIM movement.
Representing CONCOR, Shri D. Amalan, Senior General Manager, Area III, Chennai, participated in the session on: “Unlocking Cargo & Investment: Building a Future-Ready Mangaluru Logistics Ecosystem”
Speaking on “Connecting the Port to the Hinterland,” Shri D. Amalan highlighted how CONCOR’s integrated logistics capabilities can effectively bridge gateway ports with the hinterland, supporting seamless and efficient cargo movement and explained about CONCOR logistics facilities and services in Karnataka State, i.e., ICD-Whitefield, Bengaluru, MMLP-Kadakola, Mysuru and Port Side terminal at Mangaluru seamlessly connecting hinterland cargo with Gateway Ports of Mangalore, Mumbai, Cochin, Chennai, etc.
CONCOR remains committed to enabling seamless multimodal logistics connectivity and strengthening the link between India’s gateway ports and its hinterland.

Milestone Achieved – First NALCO BOXN Rake Handled by CONCOR!
CONCOR successfully handled its first 59-wagon NALCO BOXN rake directly at MMLP Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on 19–20 September 2026, under the Master Stock Yard contract at Raipur.
This marks the beginning of a strong partnership between CONCOR & NALCO, with opportunities to establish similar facilities at other locations.

CONCOR's "Assured Transit Time" train service reaches the destination ahead of scheduled time
CONCOR's "Assured Transit Time" domestic container rake from ICD-Whitefield (WFD), Bangalore to Tughlakabad, New Delhi (TKD) via ICD-Tondiarpet (TNPM) reached the destination after travelling a distance of 2509 Kms (WFD-TNPM-TKD) in 141:55 hrs well before the scheduled transit time of 166 hours.
This service is run on every Saturday and the next rake is planned tomorrow (12.09.2026)

CONCOR is pleased to announce the commencement of "Assured Transit Time" rakes from ICD-Whitefield (WFD), Bengaluru to Tughlakabad, Delhi via ICD-Tondiarpet, Chennai. The inaugural rake from ICD-Whitefield is flagged off on 05-09-2026 by Shri. V. Somanna, Hon'ble Minister of State for Railways.
Smt. Manjula Aravind Limbavali, Hon'ble Member of the Legislative Assembly, Shri. Ajit Kumar Panda, CMD-CONCOR, Ms. G. Gayatri, IRTS, Area Head (South)/CONCOR, and Senior officials from Railways & CONCOR were present in the event.
The domestic container rake will be despatched from Whitefield every Saturdays to ICD-Tondiarpet(TNPM), Chennai, where it will connect with containers moving from Chennai to Tughlakabad, Delhi. The total transit time from Whitefield, Bengaluru to Tughlakabad, Delhi will be 7 days (166 hours), providing customers with a reliable and time-bound rail transportation solution.

As part of efforts to strengthen domestic freight movement, a new container train service from Whitefield, Bengaluru, to Tughlakabad in New Delhi was flagged off today at Whitefield Railway Station.
This is the first such initiative in South India and will particularly benefit industries across Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Hosur, Kolar, Krishnagiri and surrounding areas by enabling the safe, reliable and timely movement of raw materials and finished goods, while providing access to larger markets.
With assured transit times, the service will be a major boost to the industrial sector.
It is also an important step towards increasing the share of railways in freight transportation, while offering a more environment-friendly alternative to road and air freight.

Commencement of new Rail stream between Chennai and Mysuru.
CONCOR has commenced a new Domestic rail service connecting ICD/Tondiarpet, Chennai and MMPL/Kadakola , Mysuru, in further strengthening domestic rail logistics network.
The maiden service carried 90 LOADED CONCOR domestic containers from ICD Tondiarpet (TNPM), Chennai, to MMLP Kadakola, Mysuru.
This new service will enhance connectivity, with an efficient rail-based logistics solution, and support seamless movement of domestic cargo.

New Domestic Rail Traffic Stream from CONCOR–Vallarpadam, Cochin (VPDP)
A new domestic rail traffic stream commenced today from CONCOR–Vallarpadam, with a full rake of 90 x 20’ domestic containers carrying BPCL consignments dispatched from VPDP to FCON, Fatuha, Bihar.
This marks an important milestone in expanding domestic containerised rail movement from Vallarpadam, strengthening its role as a gateway for cargo moving to markets across India.
The movement was successfully facilitated in coordination with Trivandrum Division, Southern Railway.
