TypeScript 5.5 is shaping up well 🦾
The folk on Isolated Declarations @TitianCernicova @WesleyWigham @andhaveaniceday & now @blickly worked hard to address community feedback
Thanks to @ssalbdivad @lcasdev @Conaclos @acutmore & @airtable's Michael Mitchell for filing issues 👍
Biome 1.8 lets you dictate your own naming conventions thanks to a new option on the useNamingConvention rule. I put a lot of care into its design. I hope you find it easy to use :)

TypeScript 5.5 Beta is out with isolated declarations! Is your project ready to switch to isolated declarations for faster compilation?
Hopefully we will soon see bundlers that support isolated declarations and emit declaration files!

⚠️ We're calling all open source maintainers to be alert for social engineering takeover attempts and to take steps to protect their open source projects, after a failed credible takeover attempt.

Biome 1.7 will migrate your ESLint config with a single command: 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐭
I implemented support for legacy and flat configs, shared configs and plugin presets (𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠).
What more could you ask for?

I'm in! I published a typescript ESM module. no bundling, no config, no BS.
Then I just npm install'd it into a different Node project and it ~just worked~
I am pleased that my issue in the Flow repository kicked off an effort that has improved the interoperability of Flow and Typescript over the past year. There is still a lot of work to be done, but the Flow team seems committed to it!
Flow now uses "as" syntax for type-casting, and unlike TypeScript it's safe:

Dependency graph before and after using @biomejs .
This is crucial for companies with strict security on dependencies.
This will also cut out all the noise from your dependency/renovate bot.
