Fifty neighbors in North Long Beach rushed out of their homes to stop ICE agents from detaining Ricardo Gonzalez, a US citizen who was riding a bike when an agent jumped out of an unmarked car, tackled him, tased him twice, and broke his arm. The ICE agent later accused Gonzalez of throwing something at their car.

This is Jan Crawford. She is the legal correspondent for CBS News and a devout Christian. She tweeted praise of a young Christian nationalist who had asked Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed to denounce the Muslim Brotherhood, despite the lack of any evidence linking El-Sayed to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Crawford deleted the tweet later that day, and admitted that it had violated CBS News standards.
She should be fired as a non credible legal voice on TV.

PS I’ve met Putin many times and listened in on calls with him as well. I also speak Russian. Yes he is soft spoken, deliberate, and measured. So what? He’s still a killer. He still launched a barbaric invasion of Ukraine, that has produced tragic loss of life not seen on this scale in Europe since WWII.

I spoke with Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex and wished His Holiness a full and speedy recovery following his surgery. We are grateful that even during this difficult time for him personally, His Holiness remembers Ukraine and prays for our people.
I briefed him in detail on the situation with Russian escalation and Russia’s constant strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities. We also discussed the humanitarian catastrophe in temporarily occupied Oleshky. We are working to help our people there. We are preparing decisions. His Holiness informed me about contacts with the Russian side on this matter.
Of course, we also discussed all the current security challenges and threats, including the periodic lack of warnings from our partners about Russian ballistic missile attacks – something that has happened three times recently. I thank His Holiness for his support and all his efforts to achieve a dignified peace.
