Today, I joined family, community members, leaders and mourners at Machilil, Kipkelion Ward, Kericho county to bid farewell to Benard Kiplangat Ngetich, beloved son of Alice and Joseph Bett.
His brutal murder is a painful loss. I called upon security agencies to expedite investigations and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
May God comfort the bereaved family and grant them strength during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
In attendance were Senate Majority Leader Hon. @Aaroncheruiyot , President's aide Farouk Kibet, Area MP Hon. Hillary Koskei, and several MCAs led by County Assembly Speaker Dr. Patrick Mutai.

The Government of Kenya continues to advance strategic investments in irrigation-led agriculture as part of its commitment to achieving food security, enhancing climate resilience and reducing reliance on rain-fed agricultural production.
Today, senior government officials, led by the Head of Public Service, Hon. @koske_felix , accompanied by hosts of Principal Secretaries undertook an inspection tour of the Galana and Bura Food Security Projects to assess implementation progress, irrigation infrastructure development and operational readiness.
The inspection focused on strengthening irrigation water management, expanding land under irrigation, improving agricultural productivity, optimising water-use efficiency and enhancing the utilisation of agricultural potential in these strategic schemes.
These flagship projects are central to the Government’s broader agenda of increasing food production, promoting large-scale commercial agriculture, strengthening national food supply systems and building resilient, sustainable and productive agricultural value chains.

We have decided as ODM to be very intentional with our members.
People like Millie Mabona who have been threatening the party and causing disharmony from within will not be allowed to bear the party's flag.
Welcome back home @silasjakakimba we must change the diet in Suba North.

Mama Ida claimed that ODM leaders hired goons. Reuben Ndolo is here confessing that he got goons from Busia, Vihiga and Siaya and brought them to Bondo.
Mama Ida must immediately apologise to ODM as a party and its leaders. Mama you will soil your name vibaya.
You are treading on dangerous grounds.

This morning, I had the honour of witnessing His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya @WilliamsRuto assent to two important pieces of legislation at the Eldoret State Lodge:
1. The County Governments Additional Allocations Bill, 2026
2. The County Assembly Services (Amendment) Bill, 2023
These laws will significantly strengthen devolution and improve service delivery across our counties.
The Additional Allocations Bill unlocks KSh 71.09 billion in extra resources for county governments in the 2026/2027 financial year. The funds will support Community Health Promoters (CHPs), advance Universal Health Coverage, and bolster other critical devolved functions.
The County Assembly Services Amendment Bill establishes clear legal procedures for the removal of County Assembly Service Board members and guarantees security of tenure for Clerks of the County Assemblies promoting accountability, stability, and good governance in our county legislatures.
Narok County stands to benefit from additional revenue under this legislation. A positive step for devolution and for the people of Kenya.

The Government remains committed to protecting tea farmers’ interests, improving factory performance, strengthening accountability and ensuring better returns for farmers.
Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development @CS_MoALD summoned four underperforming tea factories—Kapkoros, Chebut, Litein and Mogogosiek—following concerns raised by farmers over factory performance and their earnings.
Each factory’s case was analysed individually, and corrective measures were agreed upon, including reducing operational costs, improving efficiency and strengthening accountability. The Ministry also directed that the SETET project supporting Litein Factory be fast-tracked to help address its challenges.
Clear directives and implementation timelines were issued to each factory. Failure to meet the set targets will prompt further action, with the Government, through the Tea Board of Kenya (TBK), working with farmers to overhaul factory management where necessary. Prosecution will also be pursued where evidence establishes corruption, mismanagement or related malpractices.
In attendance were @KTDAHoldingsLtd National Chairman Enos Njeru,@TeaBoardKenya CEO Willy Mutai, directors of the four tea factories and other key stakeholders.

Nairobi cannot continue to swallow the country’s development. We have 47 counties. Continuing to build apartment after apartment in a city whose roads can no longer cope is not progress it is concentration of opportunity in one place at the expense of the rest of Kenya. Rural-urban migration is not a national strategy. It is a symptom that devolution has not been allowed to work. People should not have to leave their counties to survive. They should be able to stay and develop them.
It is time we stop this imbalance. Development must leave Nairobi and take root in every county. That is the only way Kenya grows as one country.
