🇺🇸🇸🇦 Trump blinked on Yemen. Now the Saudis are asking if America will actually defend them.
The U.S reportedly came within minutes of launching strikes against the Houthis over the weekend, but then Trump pulled back.
One former U.S official offered a particularly ominous warning:

And while Washington hesitates, Britain is stepping in.
The UK has agreed to provide aerial-refuelling support for Saudi defensive operations, putting British military aircraft directly into the Saudi war effort.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-Houthi war continues, the East-West oil pipeline is gradually returning to service, and Iran still controls the pressure point that matters most: Hormuz.
Trump may have avoided another U.S war, but Saudi Arabia just discovered there are limits to the American security guarantee.
That realization could outlast the war itself.
