The moment an American pastor and his wife announced to the congregation that they were in a polygynous marriage, and then introduced the second wife to the church. The second wife also runs a ministry. She was a ‘little sister’ to the first wife. My own be say the pastor like big things 🤣😅😄

Replying to @AYCOMEDIAN
@AYCOMEDIAN is currently touring the UK, along with Akpororo and MC Monica. He performed in Sheffield, England, on Saturday, but refused to show up in Cardiff, Wales, yesterday. It ended in chaos as people grew angry, and police had to come to the venue.

26-year-old Obanyeli Jesse Chima was an international student from Nigeria who had just finished his master's degree in Public Health in London. He was waiting in a lounge to meet friends for a joint birthday celebration when he said he needed to step outside for some air. His breathing quickly deteriorated. Despite using three different inhalers he had with him, nothing helped. His friend called an ambulance, but while she was still on the phone with the operator, he collapsed. His friends started CPR right there on the street, guided by the emergency operator. Paramedics spent about two hours working to stabilise him before rushing him to hospital. He was placed on life support. At first, medics hoped he would only suffer memory loss. But two days later, doctors confirmed there had been no improvement and tests showed he was brain-dead. Jesse was just 26. He leaves behind three siblings in Nigeria. He was known as a passionate Chelsea FC fan who had even worked at the club. His friend Eva said his family had been saving money to fly over for his graduation. "His family had saved money for his graduation, and now that money needs to be used to bury their child," she said. Friends are now raising money to transport his body back to Nigeria so his family can lay him to rest. A GoFundMe account has been created. gofundme.com/f/help-bring-ch…

Dr Asif Hasan practiced for more than three decades, dedicated to treating children with complex heart conditions. During his career, he performed more than 4,000 open-heart operations, including approximately 3,000 as lead surgeon. The 70-year-old British Pakistani was appointed consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at Freeman Hospital in 1995. Dr Hasan led its paediatric transplant programme and helped establish Newcastle as an internationally recognised centre for specialist children’s heart care. His pioneering work in heart transplantation and mechanical heart support helped more children survive while waiting for donor hearts. Dr. Hasan, who retired earlier this year from Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital, was honoured with the Pride of Britain Lifetime Achievement Award for Saving Thousands of Young Lives. To honour him, 19 former patients he saved through medical intervention joined him on stage to receive the award.

*Pa Reuben Fasoranti Dies at 100* Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has announced the death of elder statesman Pa Reuben Fasoranti. Baba was one of the founding fathers of Ondo State, an elder statesman, administrator, and foremost leader of Afenifere. He was an astute politician, a believer in the vision of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, and a frontline figure in the struggle for democracy. He was actively involved in the Action Group in the First Republic and later in the Unity Party of Nigeria during the Second Republic. Baba Fasoranti served as Commissioner for Finance in the old Ondo State under the administration of the late Chief Adekunle Ajasin between 1979 and 1983. He was part of the struggle that birthed democracy in Nigeria and was an active voice against military dictatorship. During the brutal military regime of General Sani Abacha, he was one of the NADECO leaders whom the regime attempted to assassinate. In 1996, his car was riddled with bullets in an assassination attempt. Despite personal losses — the death of his wife in 1991 and the killing of his daughter, Funke Olakunrin, in 2019 — Baba remained strong and lived for many more years. Beyond politics, Baba Fasoranti's contribution to the development of the Yoruba nation was inestimable. He was an enduring symbol of unity, cultural pride, communal progress, and intellectual advancement. He lived a life worthy of celebration and emulation. May Baba's soul rest in perfect peace.

The video I posted a few days ago, showing police officers trying to abduct a man, putting him in handcuffs, with residents having to rescue him — the Ogun State Police Command has arrested the officers involved and is currently trying them. It is not even up to a week, and I have already seen more than five similar incidents where another set of police officers were extorting or brutalizing citizens. This is another one: the Command Anti-Cultism Unit (CACU) in Delta State brutalizing young men on the road in broad daylight. Since Tunji Disu became IGP, I don't think any reported case has gone unaddressed. But despite that, the cases keep increasing daily. Police officers have refused to learn from their colleagues' misdeeds. It is really concerning and shameful that officers who should be enforcing the law are breaking it!

On April 1, 1930, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) was officially established through the merger of the Northern and Southern Police Departments. It took 25 years before women were allowed to serve. In October 1955, 20 women enrolled at the Southern Police College, now Police College, Ikeja, for six months of training. Together, they became the first women formally recruited into the Nigeria Police Force. One of them is Stella Okuyiga, a 96-year-old retired Deputy Commissioner of Police. She served from 1955 to 1986, retiring at the age of 56. Last week, she held a public presentation and launch of her book, “The Origin of Police Women in Nigeria: The Story of the Pioneer Women Officers and My Journey in the Nigeria Police Force (1955–1996).” The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, attended as chief launcher to grace the occasion and honour her.
