Photographer captures an "Arctic dragon" in the sky.
Photographer Carina Letelier Baeza captured a breathtaking aurora that looked like a dragon flying across the Arctic sky, glowing in red and green. She took the photo at the Arctic Henge, a huge stone monument in one of Iceland’s northernmost villages. Built like a giant sundial, its arches line up with the sun’s path.

Known for their whip-like tails and insane speed, thresher sharks don’t usually put on shows at the surface of the ocean, but when they do, it’s wild. These deep-water predators can launch their whole bodies out the ocean. Scientists think they breach to hunt smarter, ditch parasites, or send a message to other sharks. Either way, catching one mid-air is definitely a rarity.

Thieves just pulled off a nearly $1 million Pokémon and sports card heist. 📷
On October 13, thieves broke into a FedEx truck in Santa Ana, California, stealing hundreds of rare trading cards worth an estimated $963,000.
The cards belonged to collectors across the country who had sent them in to be graded. Police are still investigating, and no arrests have been announced.
In South Korea, doing absolutely nothing is actually a sport.
The annual “Space-Out” contest has people sit in silence for 90 minutes no phones, no talking, no naps, just total stillness. The winner? Whoever keeps the most stable heart rate. It’s a chill competition with a deeper message in a burnout-heavy culture: sometimes the real flex isn’t grinding harder, it’s knowing how to truly rest.

The Orionid meteor shower is expected to peak overnight from October 21 to 22, bringing bright shooting stars to skies across both hemispheres.
The yearly shower happens when Earth passes through debris left behind by Halley’s Comet. The meteors can leave glowing trails and sometimes create bright flashes called fireballs. For the best chance to see them, head somewhere dark away from city lights after midnight and give your eyes 20 to 30 minutes to adjust.
