Our team will be well represented in the two conferences that will take place in Leipzig. @step_roilo will be in @ECEM_2023 this week and many of us will be in @GfoeSoc #gfoe2023 next week 📢
📢Publication on carbon sequestration in arable soils: doi.org/10.3390/su151411128 ! Our results show carbon sequestration in Northern Saxony depends on intensity of the applied agricultural management practices - reduced tillage and fertilizer can increase soil climate regulation
This week, members of #ECO2SCAPE Andreas Vierling (LPV) & Nina Hagemann (TUD-CLE) attended the International Conference "Economic Incentives that affect Biodiversity" -@BfN_de. Inspiring presentations and discussions with people from all over the world in a unique place.

May 22 is international #BiodiversityDay! Together with the Landscape care association (LPV Nordwestsachen) and three elementary school classes, we celebrated it identifying plants, insects and birds and the important roles farmers have. Happy International #BiodiversityDay!
Our #ECO2SCAPE field work season continues: we spent four days in northern Saxony to asses plant diversity on set-aside fields. Thanks to all of the students @tudresden_de helping in the field!
Happy to announce that our first #ECO2SCAPE field work week for 2023 was successful! The fieldwork is embedded in student seminars @tudresden_de and we are happy to have the support of so many great students. 🐦🐝🦇

Exciting field work this week 🧐! Thanks to @CompLandEcol and @Sca_DS for supporting this work on explring the potential of UAV for farmland biodiversity monitoring. A BIG thank you to the people supporting in the field this week, specially @GeoSensors_TUD and @RKruegerGSS
We were glad to participate at the FEdA-Meeting in Frankfurt today and discuss about transformation processes with other #BiodiWert projects.
Had a nice science #movienight watching @TheNeedToGrow . It’s nice to have a work pause together 💚
Our second farmer and scientist #ECO2SCAPE networking meeting took place last Friday. Field work, interview results, and co-designed measures were discussed. We are very happy about the constructive and good exchange and are looking forward to the further cooperation. 👩🌾🌍👩🔬
