So thrilled that the Mayor of London came to see #BlueMarketSaturdays to check out all our new stalls! Why not pop in and see for yourself? 10am-4pm every Saturday @TheBlueMarket Bermondsey SE16 3UQ xitter.cf/SadiqKhan/status/97756…
London’s markets are a crucial part of our economy and communities. Really enjoyed spending time with the traders at @TheBlueMarket in Bermondsey today. As Mayor, I’m determined to do all I can to help our markets flourish and thrive.

Today I visited the historic Blue Market in Bermondsey. It’s gained a new lease of life after £2m of investment from my Good Growth Fund and is now a hub for people from all backgrounds to trade and socialise.

.@TheBlueMarket has a long history of bringing Londoners of all backgrounds together to trade and socialise. I’m delighted that it’s been brought back to life through £2m investment from my Good Growth Fund, with the input of local people and organisations in Bermondsey.

.@TheBlueMarket has a long, rich history in the heart of Bermondsey and has brought Londoners and traders together for centuries. I met with local market traders and young people who have played an important role in the regeneration of the market.
