We have a ramp at the front entrance with automatic door openers, a permanent ramp to the back door, a stair lift in the foyer between the split levels and an accessible washroom on the first floor. All washrooms are gender-neutral. There is a good turning radius for wheelchairs on most of the first floor. We have a scent-free policy in our building." Masks are required. Please stay home if you are sick. We will have extra masks and hand sanitizer. If you are feeling sick and aren't able to make it, we would be happy to answer any questions via email! ALT The Halifax Regional Pilice want an additional $5.7 million. Swipe for more info.

ALT The majority of the requested $5.7 million is to fund 24 new positions to their force including 18 new constables, 12 of whom would be assigned to mental health calls and "dedicated to hospitals around Halifax." Police do not belong in mental health response.

ALT The Board of Police Commissioners has recommended city council approve the entire request despite overwhelming objection at the public consultations.

ALT The Board of Police Commissioners has failed to conduct a legitimate and accessible public consultation: -No ASL interpretation available despite requests -No accommodations made for those who have been directly traumatized by police -Allowed harmful language to be used to describe unhoused community members -Silenced an individual speaking on the HRP's well documented racism
