we need to radically shift what it means to be considered “the bigger person”. i used to understand it as being the quiet person, the one to let it slide. but that actually only sets the stage for “the smaller person” to manipulate the narrative and present themselves as the honorable one. i now understand that the bigger person is actually the honest person. the courageously loud person. the defender of truth. God will always sort it out in the end, but sometimes you gotta speak up too.
