Parents: Give yourself some grace. Being a parent is freaking DIFFICULT if your daughter doesn’t play sports. If she does, then I guarantee it is worse. We spend a lot of money for programs, training and travel and there are going to be times when she doesn’t play well or have her best outing. I guarantee she feels worse than you do. If your kids are playing competitive sports, the return on investment is HIGH even if she doesn’t play beyond high school or AAU. She is learning how to work with a team, time management, overcoming adversity, work hard for something, fail, succeed, play with girls she may not like, have to tell her teammates they are not being good people, work with a coach they don’t like…all of these are TRANSFERABLE skills that cannot be taught unless experienced. I see you parents-hang in there!

The culture at Team Takeover is so impressive. The standard is high, and expectation is to WIN. But dang, do they appreciate and celebrate that winning feeling. Earned it, never given 🏆
Congratulations @TeamTakeoverGBB

I am thankful for all the AAU teams reaching out to Tammar. AAU isn’t a priority for us for multiple reasons right now. We would only consider it as a show and tell rather than an exposure thing.
The recruiting and the exposure for Tammar is going great. We plan on taking him on some unofficial visits but staying focused on the repetition and the weigh training to prepare for his next level.
Tammar plays and practices more than most, we just don’t play AAU. We go hard and play 5-6 days a week against college and professional basketball players which allows him to compete against bigger and better players. In our environment, we make sure he touches and the everyone plays the right way. This makes getting better so much easier.

Quite the get for Kim English; Jones is Orlando native, big for Providence to go out of region and get a top 40 prospect. Usually you'd expect their best luck would be more in their geographic footprint, New England region.
NEWS: Jamier Jones, the No. 32 overall prospect in the class of 2025 has committed to Providence.
“I love the fan base already and once I play in front of them they’ll have something to scream about.”

Why are Florida HS athletes still not permitted to sign #NIL deals?
2 years ago, a Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) survey indicated a majority of schools were against NIL at the HS level.
School Athletic Directors were concerned that competitors would use NIL to "steal" their athletes.
This is such a lame reason to restrict athletes' rights.
Also, with 30+ jurisdictions now allowing HS athletes to sign deals, should those Athletic Directors be concerned that their most talented athletes will consider leaving the state?
It's time for change.

Legends aren't born. They are molded through the test of time - through fire 🔥 & ice 🧊. Boo Williams (coaching AAU since the 80s) is one of those dudes! His Boo Williams team alums include future NBA players Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning, JR Reid & JJ Reddick. What a legacy!

AAU Players: If every weekend your team is undefeated, you either play with a bunch of players who will be heading to Duke, or your coach is sabotaging you to win games. The goal is improvement - not weekend trophy hunting. Iron sharpens iron…play against BETTER players.

We need to stop acting like all trainers can coach and all coaches can train. These are two completely different skill sets!

Parents attend every game your kid plays. Smile and cheer every second because one day those events will be memories. Watch your child play or just be part of a team. Let them be who they are not who you wish they were. Hug them after every game! Just enjoy it! – at Kentucky, USA
