8. Fit-to-earn app @CommitPool helps you earn DAI for achieving 🚶, 🏃💨 , or🚴 goals through @Apple watch, @onepeloton, @Garmin, etc. Btw, Dai is a stablecoin cryptocurrency aiming to keep its value as close to the USD.

Let the decentralization debate commence! Aka: "Beeminder-but-on-the-blockchain: smart or silly?" We'll await an opening salvo from @CommitPool. We suggest a concrete as possible use case that @bmndr's centralized approach doesn't work well for.

The verification question is a crucial issue. A centralized verification service can't be credibly neutral, and so will need to make all kinds of concessions to convince users to trust it

Spencer at the @CommitPool team joined the Astral Discord - really exciting work designing an app to help people hold themselves accountable. Set goals and stake money - by exercising claim your crypto back. (Another @KERNEL0x Genesis Block team 🌱💪)

This is a great thread partitioning "self-control" into it's likely component parts. Commitment devices and tools like @CommitPool probably work by supporting #2 (making you more aware of the choice you're making) and #3 (decreases the attractiveness of negative behaviors)
Why do some people appear to have better self-control than others? I think it’s hard to answer this question if we treat self-control like an indivisible black box. So let’s split apart. Here is my list of traits that can appear to be “self-control” from the outside: [thread]
