Yesterday was all about ancient teeth at @York_BioArCh! 🦷We demonstrated how to remove dental calculus, cut teeth in half for dentine analysis, and prep teeth for Sr-Pb-O-C isotope analysis! And of course the students had a go too! 👨🔬🧑🔬 #isotopes #bioarchaeology #archaeology

Spent this morning working on @Commiosproject Iron Age tooth dentine samples with @DrAngelaLamb! 🦷 One tooth was sampled sequentially (slices taken at intervals from root to crown) this provides snapshots of diet from childhood to early adolescence! #isotopes #Archaeology
