What an amazing day to be outside learning through adventure! @CommercialPS & St Leonard's have been cooling down under waterfalls & in The Splosh, abseiling, exploring, all through the #JohnMuirAward. All back in now, reviewing the day & planning for tomorrow.

For Book Week Scotland, Room 6 talked about their favourite stories and decided to write their own books! We enjoyed reading these to each other at milk and story time and are very proud to be authors and illustrators! #inspire #promotingreading #readingschoolsaward

It was lovely to see the #ScholasticBookFair back in school today and throughout this week. The children loved their visits today, browsing the different genres. 🤩🙌🏻📚 thank you to our kind helpers! 👍🏻#ReadingSchoolsAward #BookWeekScotland #PromotingReading @scholasticuk
Rm 13 have completed Goodnight Mister Tom, and are beginning to write their own book reviews and share their opinions about what they have read.
They also learnt about Poetry & focused on war poems from the book What Are We Fighting For? 🙌🏻#BookWeekScotland #readingschoolsaward
P1’s story of the week during #BookWeekScotland was Zog and the Flying Doctors. Rn 2 have been writing a sentence about what they can see in the story. They also had a homework task to discuss their favourite books at home. 🥰📚🤩 #readingschoolsaward #inspire

BWS in P2 📚 we picked a book to read, passed it to a partner & gave a review. Then looked at The Perfect Fit by @NaomiJones_1 and @JamesPaulJones, wrote about the different feelings from the shapes & shared with the class 🤩 @scottishbktrust #readingschools #BookWeekScotland
