This Wilks hire is weird as hell. Why does Daronte Jones need more help with game planning when he has a former defensive coordinator coaching linebackers and a former defensive coordinator is his head coach?

"Went to his car to retrieve his gun". God Bless Amurrca.
Ex-#Titans DT Jordan Elliott went to his car to retrieve his gun after a practice altercation with OT JC Latham last Thursday (Oct. 15). After being told to leave the field, Elliott took off his pads and stormed out of the facility, then went to the players' lot. Security cameras captured the sequence. Veteran DL John Franklin-Myers talked him down, and no one was hurt. The Titans released Elliott on Tuesday after reviewing the incident. He signed a 2-year, $8M deal this offseason. News of the incident was first reported by @eastonfreeze and additional details provided by @AaronWilson_NFL.

So the omens are looking really good?
The 2026 #Commanders are the first NFL team to have a +6 turnover margin and a -40 scoring margin through the first six games of a season since… the 1980 Redskins. Washington fired head coach Jack Pardee after the 1980 season and hired future Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs

Trying to think of any position group on the Commanders roster that appears to have been uplifted by coaching, and failing. When the axe falls on Quinn, I'd struggle to make a strong argument for retaining any of the current staff.

Me too. Goodnight all.
Kinlaw headed into the locker room.

Expected nothing from tonight. But would be nice to see a functioning organisation on both sides of the ball and on the sidelines. It's going to need a complete teardown of the staff to restore some hope - this operation isn't getting it done.

This is going well... It's gone 2am here - is there any reason for me to stay awake? Defence: shit Offence: shit Discipline: shit Injuries: shit Any items not specifically listed above: shit

Yeah, rivalries mean nothing when news like this emerges. Best wishes to Jalen Hurts for a full recovery.
Jalen Hurts will be out for the season after doctors discovered multiple blood clots in his lungs.

If the Commanders win tonight, I may run naked through the streets.
If the Commanders win tonight do they become the favorites to win the NFC East?

Marvellous.
The Commanders added C Lucas Patrick to the injury report because of an illness. He is questionable for Monday night, along with Stefon Diggs, Javon Kinlaw and 6 others.

Bullshit.
A weekend in London proved one thing: The Eagles’ fanbase reaches far beyond Philadelphia. 📝: allphly.com/gargano-weekend-…

Competing, in what sense? The NFL is more popular than ever in the UK, but remains niche. A novelty to most.
The NFL believes American football is now competing with soccer in the UK.

I honestly think the brain freeze element may apply. For the last 30 months, coaches have been hammering Jayden to slide, get out of bounds, whatever - protect himself. Falling down is now in his muscle memory. Of course, a few well placed words in his headset.....
If the truth came out, I think one of if not two of Jayden/DB/DQ forgot or didn’t know there was no more timeouts. And worst case, Jayden had a terrible brain freeze when he saw blue on the dropback and instantly thought to protect himself when he should’ve thrown it away.

Not singling him out, but here's a photo of Odafe Oweh, apparently. Just an attempt to prove that he exists.

Genuine question: would an offense-minded head coach have made yesterday's fiasco less likely? Of course, offense-minded in no way guarantees competence, but with all other factors being equal, would an offensive mind be less likely to oversee such a monstrous mistake?

The answer to any coaching related question in Washington is nearly always Joe Gibbs. My appreciation of the man was off the charts in the mid-eighties, and it gets higher every day.
When is the last time Washington had a head coach who was a truly great in-game tactician? Someone who you felt from schematic and game-management standpoints was consistently better than opposing head coaches? Has been forever. Was Joe Gibbs from 1981-1992 the last time? Brutal.

Just trawling through my posts out of curiosity. Pleased to see that my position on this matter has remained consistent.
Hey America. Just a quick reminder that your president is a sack of shit. If any of my followers voted for this monstrosity, I'd be grateful if you would cease following me.

After further review, I've come to the conclusion Christa Pike must be a Commanders fan. We can't even die when we're supposed to.
