Mayor @DSkaith met with dozens of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations today.
Listening was the main aim – finding out more about incredible work taking place across York and North Yorkshire, what the challenges are and what opportunities lie ahead.
A busy schedule included @BetterConnectUK’s Rise2Thrive launch event in Harrogate, learning more about green initiatives and community activity at Whixley Village Hall, and a lively roundtable session hosted by @CommFirstYorks, where organisations put their questions straight to the Mayor.
The day marked the first sector-specific meetings for the Mayor since starting last week, with much more to come in the first 100 days of his term.
