🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: ASIO no. 2 is being rushed through parliament this week.
This is the bill that allows warrantless questioning by ASIO, without a lawyer, and you can't tell a soul without being sent to prison.
Share this widely and make some noise.

An excellent analysis by Alan Kohler which tells us in part the reasons for the housing crisis and why immigration levels increased. Needless to say it's very different to the 1 nation commentary

Regarding @Rustinyoureye as we all know bail was refused. Please share widely so everyone knows - that during the hearing the magistrate said that “it’s inevitable that he’ll do time in custody because the offending is serious.”
For a fking tweet.

It is not being said anywhere but Louise Adler has done a phenomenal job, her festival is an outstanding success, year in and year out, and this board full of fools, guided by this Premier, utterly tanked it.

So now Frydenberg wants to pick some pliant, obedient stooge to run the show. This is preposterous. @AlboMP should tell him to fuck off. RT if you agree.
Tonight the Prime Minister has floated the name of Virginia Bell to lead a Commonwealth Royal Commisson into antisemitism and the events leading up to the Bondi massacre.
The Prime Minister has been told directly by leaders of the Jewish community that they have serious concerns about this appointment.
After more than two years of unprecedented hate, harassment and violence directed towards the Jewish community, culminating in Australia’s deadliest terrorist attack at Bondi Beach it is unthinkable the Prime Minister would choose a Commissioner that did not have the total confidence of the Jewish community.
This is a time for unity and national healing.
This is a time to turn back the tide of hate and antisemitism that has destroyed so many lives.
Prime Minister, I appeal to you, this is the time to do the right thing and call a Commonwealth Royal Commission with the appointment of the right Commissioner whose leadership will provide the answers and solutions our country so urgently needs.

Watch | Australian doctors Dr. Nada Aburok and Dr. Saia Aziz describe the situation in Gaza hospitals as a “nightmare,” with severe shortages of medical supplies, water, and food.
Most patients are children and pregnant women, many the sole survivors of their families, being treated on floors amid mass casualty crises.

Bendigo Writers Festival sent out a Code of Conduct form speakers must abide by which includes the bogus IHRA definition of antisemitism… the day before the festival starts. Hard to imagine a bigger, more absurd own goal. Several authors and festival staff have now left.

Seven aid security personnel were killed today when Israeli forces bombed near the Al-Saftawi roundabout, just north of Gaza City. Throughout this genocide, Israel has repeatedly targeted police and volunteer guards, then blamed looting and aid convoy disruptions on Hamas. In July, the UN reported that 94% of aid trucks entering Gaza were intercepted and failed to reach their destinations.

“…thorough and transparent examination of the circumstances surrounding Al-Sharif’s death…”
???????
1. Israel had been publicly threatening to kill him for months.
2. Israel bombed the journalists tent he was in
3. The Israeli military immediately took credit for killing him

Ralph Nader pointed out a few months ago that the health ministry number stopped going up after the IDF killed most of the staff
So if you kill the people counting dead bodies, the deaths don't count apparently

Over 100,000 Australians marched across the symbolic heart of Sydney today, and together we showed more leadership on one rainy afternoon than our PM and Foreign Minister have shown in 2 years from the comfort of their offices. Free Palestine. Sanction Israel. 🇵🇸 🕊️

I commend the ACTU for refusing to ignore the atrocities inflicted on innocent Palestinians by the Israeli govt and its military machine.
Legitimate community concerns that the Israeli govt is acting disproportionately following Hamas terror attacks. actu.org.au/media-release/ac…

Penny Wong needs to explain her diplomatic strategy in delaying recognition till we are the last. Reports from the government say it will be delayed until Gulf states recognise Israel. What? This is nutty. We should be running a policy in our national interest, not Netanyahu’s
