Lego have done some amazing Batman sets over the years, but I don’t know if I've ever seen anything like the way they've somehow captured @Jock4twenty's style with this one. Amazing.

The new Energon Universe figure of Optimus Prime with the Megatron arm from @danielwarrenart's already legendary Transformers run is superb. This thing really looks the part.

Interesting interview with RTD here that inevitably deals with Doctor Who. theguardian.com/media/2026/o…

Also this extract from his memoir confirms a lot of what we basically already knew, but it's interesting to read hs thoughts on the whole Billie thing and how the plans for the Christmas (Easter?) special deteriorated. theguardian.com/media/2026/o…

This was even more fun than #1. @SeanMurphyArt is clearly having a ball here (there's a garage shot that's packed with Easter Eggs and really made me smile) and the horizontal format doesn't feel like a gimmick but an essential part of the book, given how the action is framed.

Plus there are some nice moments that revolve around the tangibility of analogue culture over digital, which works without feeling too forced. A fun ride and it feels like things are only heating up as the story really gets going. Looking forward to more.

End Of Life is such an entertaining book, and I hope it's selling. Funny, grim, exciting, creative, funny, emotional, and did I mention funny? Writing and art perfectly in sync, in a way that you don't often see outside single writer-artist comics. I hope it runs for a long time.

I had a weird dream last night that I streamed the new Star Wars movie on Disney+, but instead of Jedi knights and space battles it had a monkey with four arms running a kebab van played by Martin Scorsese

This is straight out of the comics, by the way. See the end of Ultimates #12 by @mrmarkmillar and Bryan Hitch.

Drome is incredible. @jesselonergans uses a crazy 35-panel grid to forge an epic fantasy creation myth that covers huge ideas and even deconstructs comics themselves, in a largely wordless, gripping story that invents a whole new visual language and teaches it to you as you read.

Here's a sampling of early pages to give you an idea of how good the visual storytelling is. This isn't even getting into the more complex stuff later on, which it builds up to nicely - there's almost a learning curve to the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this engaging memoir that provides fascinating background on @FrankMillerInk's long career. Most of all there's a strong sense of positivity and enthusiasm throughout, and advocacy of the process of making art for its own sake, which I found very uplifting.

What If? Spider-Man is a fantastic companion piece to Kraven's Last Hunt. I was sceptical about revisiting this masterpiece but @JMDeMatteis & @ycinar pull off a brilliant alternate history story that evokes the original but adds a whole extra dimension to it. A perfect What If.

This week's World's Finest annual features a lovely lead story by @Manruss and Clayton Henry that's both a fun superhero romp and a touching tribute to the fathers in Bruce and Clark's lives. Beautiful stuff, perfectly done.

Had the honour of meeting @FrankMillerInk at a signing in London today - he was warm, friendly and chatted happily with everyone who had come to see him, and spoke with enthusiasm about his work and career. Sometimes it's good to meet your heroes.

A real pleasure to meet @AndrewM2p4c at a signing for Red Dwarf: Titan today, who was very gracious when I told him how much I’d enjoyed the book (and also how much I loved 2.4 Children back in the day). Hopefully the successful launch continues.

Picked up the b/w edition of Do A Powerbomb!, partly because I loved that Japanese wrestling mag cover. The b/w really brings out the storytelling and drama in @danielwarrenart's lines, as well as the detail. Even knowing all the twists and turns I'm enjoying it all over again.
