Flights have been grounded at major US airports after construction crews cut a cable needed for air traffic control, a top aviation official says. Ground stops have been ordered in New York City, Boston and Philadelphia, the FAA says. Delays are spreading after scores of flights were left stranded on runways on Monday morning. Pilot and co-pilot of private jet that crashed at Misrata International Airport on Monday have been detained for flying while intoxicated. The prosecution did not identify the pilots, however said that the captain is a German national and the copilot is Turkish. Prosecutors said investigators had found evidence that the pilots flew the aircraft while drunk and ordered their detention pending the investigation.
