Great talking to @NatBullard about the infrastructure investments we're making at @ComEd to build the digital grid of the future. We're using technologies that help us increase grid utilization and potentially put downward pressure on electric bills for our customers.

When you're storing 1.2 million square feet of perishable food, you better have a grid that delivers nation-leading reliability! Earlier this week, I joined Pamela Lopez-Fettes, CEO of @GrowthDimension, to celebrate the latest economic development in Belvidere with a new state-of-the-art cold storage center. This is just the latest example of how @ComEd's grid is powering economic growth across the region.
Thank you to our ComEd crews and contractors for building a world-class substation, while keeping safety front-of-mind. I also want to thank Shayne Wahlmeier, the @Walmart team and our state legislators Senator @SteveStadelman and Representative Dave Vella. spr.ly/6011BGNpAR

Bram Walters, CEO of @SunVestSolar, joined me today to celebrate the energization of a community solar project at the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport — one example of more than 300 community solar sites and growing in northern Illinois. By increasing clean energy generation, we aim to lower bills for customers across northern Illinois.
Thank you to Congressman @RepBillFoster, State Representative @JeffKeicher, Melissa Amedeo from DCEDC and Bill Nicklas, City of DeKalb for your support of community solar projects like this one by SunVest Solar. spr.ly/6019BGaHA3

Thanks to @NatalieBomke of @FoxNews for helping us mark 15 years of @ComEd's Energy Force Ambassador Program — partnering with 30 nonprofit organizations to train and employ people with developmental disabilities to engage and educate our customers and communities about energy efficiency and electric vehicles. To every ambassador: thank you for helping us connect with communities in ways no one else can.

Congratulations to the 60 talented students who spent the last two weeks building electric go-karts for today’s @ComEd EV Rally — and who put the pedal to the metal at Race Day!
And thank you to the ComEd mentors and staff who volunteered their time and expertise to guide these young innovators every step of the way.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of this program, and it's a proud reminder of why ComEd invests in #STEM: because these students are the clean energy workforce of tomorrow.

To our Streator community: we know the tornado and storms hit hard yesterday, destroying homes, downing power lines and causing outages.
Our crews are working to restore power safely and as quickly as possible. We understand how challenging outages are, and we won’t stop until everyone is back online. Thank you to our customers for your patience, and to our city leaders and first responders for your partnership.

Today, I returned to Aroma Park in Kankakee County to join @GovPritzker; @ReadyIllinois COO, Christopher James Dodd; City of Kankakee Mayor, Christopher Curtis; and Village of Aroma Park Mayor, Brian Stump. We are closely monitoring storm restoration efforts and spending time with residents who have been impacted.
Despite challenging weather conditions, our crews worked around the clock to restore power to more than 99% of affected customers within 48 hours, repair more than 250 damaged utility poles, and continue working to restore the remaining few customers tonight.
Restoration goes beyond getting the lights back on. Given the scale of damage, it will take weeks for this community to fully recover. I’m deeply moved by the resilience of Kankakee County and the way neighbors, first responders, and our crews are coming together to support one another during this difficult time.

Yesterday’s storms hit Kankakee and Aroma Park especially hard, and today I spent time on the ground with Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis and Aroma Park Mayor Brian Stump and other community leaders to see the impact firsthand. We met inside the @ComEd Mobile Command Vehicle — a 45‑foot office on wheels that gives our teams the ability to coordinate restoration work even faster during severe weather. I told the mayors: Our team will stay here and see this through as their partners.
About 200 utility poles were down in this area alone. Thanks to the around‑the‑clock work of our ComEd team, we won’t stop until every customer is restored safely. My deepest thanks to every ComEd employee in the field and behind the scenes. Storm work is demanding, and our teams continue to show extraordinary dedication to the communities we serve.

It's been awesome to get out on the road and talk face-to-face with the ComEd workers who are the heart and soul of our mission to power lives.
Over the next several weeks, our executive team, key managers and project leads are visiting 10 locations across our northern Illinois service territory, connecting directly with employees to ensure they know the important roles they will play in executing ComEd's new Long-Range Strategy, but also to celebrate all the great work they do every single day.
We're already seeing how the roadshows create space for meaningful dialogue and enable every member of our team to feel how essential they are to fulfilling our responsibilities to customers. Thanks to our 6,000+ ComEd employees for inspiring us with your tireless dedication to powering homes and businesses in our region!
