bullshit. Teachers MAYBE, depending on where. Seattle average is like 140K and they were going to strike! Nurses have never made more. I know MANY who make 6 figures.

Want to become a teacher to help with the shortages? Too bad, don’t make enough money. Want to be a nurse and help with the health care worker shortage? Too bad, saving lives doesn’t pay well. Want to help the mental health crisis? Too bad, there’s no money in it.

1. Yes college is more than job training 2. People are still free to study what they want. 3. Education doesn't need to justify anything to the labor market. It has to justify it to the people paying the bill or risking capital

this is a stupid law. higher education is more than job training, and the market changes too fast to predict what will “pay off” 20+ years from now. education should not have to justify itself to the labor market. people should be free to learn.

Problem is Dems have not cared AT ALL about rising costs for decades. Only about who pays. Professors/administrators made more at the direct expense of students. It is a zero sum game. Don't like this new policy but taxpayers can't take on unlimited risk/burden

I’m a religious studies + politics double-major who has worked in finance for 12+ years. Have come across dozens of finance majors with very little relevant, transferable knowledge gained from simply being a finance major.
