Does anyone grasp that back in 1978 it was nearly impossible for a woman to lose custody of her kids. You had to be the absolute worst of the worst. I'm old enough to remember a jr high friend of mine with a raging alcoholic mom who's father tried to get custody of her and he couldn't. Maybe you don't believe the rape charge but something made the state of Ohio look at her and say "no way." Not only that, kids back then didn't stop communicating with their mom's. They just didn't. Her kids never saw or spoke to her again. This is the woman that Vivek supporters are backing. It's beyond sick. The GOP has fallen so hard. I hate that I was once part of that party.

BREAKING: James Talarico just released an incredible video reminding every American what hope feels like. This is the best political ad we've seen in a long time.
Why would anyone believe a mother who lost custody of both her kids when they were children and haven't spoken to her since. Nothing. No birthdays, holidays, anything. Whether you believe the rape allegations or not, the state saw fit to take her children and they hated their mother so much that they never wanted to even see her again. Why would you believe a mother who had a choice to lose custody of her kids or stay with a man, no matter what the reasons.

From Trump to Ramaswamy: How Child Rape and Family Abuse Became the New GOP Playbook
This is the kind of attack ad that ends a politician's career. But I'm not talking about Amy Acton's career — I'm talking about Vivek Ramaswamy, who has proven himself to be an absolute bucket of piss, shit, and vomit.
While I expected desperate Republicans to reach new lows, Vivek Ramaswamy's recruitment of Amy Acton's estranged mother is beyond the pale. Ramaswamy's new attack ad is a level of vile degeneracy not even I anticipated.
For 48 years, Amy Acton has had no relationship with her mother. The most revealing aspect of this situation is that Ramaswamy had no qualms about approving a hit job from an estranged parent who chose to stay married to the pedophile who raped her daughter at age 12.
Before Acton's sexually abusive stepfather, Cledith Arthur, could stand trial, he fled the state and became a fugitive. He managed to evade justice for years, remaining on the run until his death in 2004.

Amy Acton's estranged mother lost custody of her children after her second husband was charged with rape and indicted by a grand jury. In court, Amy's mother stood by her husband instead of her twelve-year-old daughter. They haven't spoken since that day in court, nearly 50 years ago.
Politics has become such a disappointing sport of outrage-fueled mud-slinging, personal attacks targeting families, and blatant lies designed to divide. Candidates should debate the issues and focus on convincing voters that their plans and leadership will make life better. That's what politics should be about: bringing people together. Stunts like today's attack ad against Dr. Acton are beneath anyone seeking to lead. nytimes.com/2026/10/20/us/po…
Let's say for the sake of argument that Acton wasn't raped. That doesn't negate the fact that her kids were taken from her by children services and she never saw them again. Acton hasn't seen her mom since she was 12 and her mom just sold her out for a new pair of teeth. Beyond disgusting. @VivekGRamaswamy you need to rot in hell.

It appears from court documents, statements from family members, and media reports that Amy Acton’s mother was a pedophile protector. So naturally Republicans use her in an ad against the victim and the MAGA Paid Grifter Network is pushing it because that is who they are.

This is what the current US president supports. Yes, today the world—and the majority of people in the US—no longer doubt that Trump has become a supporter of the most heinous criminals and crimes. For the Trump, crimes are perfectly fine, provided they bring him personal gain.
Over the weekend @RepDonBacon posted some tweets that sounded firm and strong. He said all the right things. As predicted in less than 48 hours. Bacon is now making excuses for Trump. Claiming Trump is being "duped" by Putin. The GOP believes we are all as stupid as MAGA. We aren't. They all need to go.
This is laughable. We all know once it's confirmed that Trump was the culprit, the GOP will start to cave and make excuses for him. We know they won't do a damn thing.

The man standing next to Donald Trump is Mike Caruso, currently on trial for urinating in his 3 year old grandson's mouth.
The hatred for the @GOP should be deep seeded with every person in this country who believes in our constitution and what it stands for. They've allowed mad man to run wild and now we have the leader of the free world handing Ukraine over to Russia. The entire party is a bunch of traitors. We can't vote them out soon enough.
