The recent @stripe's acquisition of @OpenRouter is more interesting than “payments company buys AI gateway.”
AI apps will increasingly choose models the way payments businesses choose payment routes: not by loyalty to one provider, but by a policy such as, “Keep response time under 2 seconds, quality above this threshold, and gross margin above 60%.”
The router then decides which model gets each request.
“Model agnostic” stops being a developer preference. It becomes dynamic margin and risk management. The winning AI infrastructure may be the control plane, not the model.
Spent the last few weeks testing free AI courses while building out insurance research pipeline.
Most "top AI courses" lists recycle the same 5 names. Here are the ones I actually found useful, by what you're trying to do:
Getting started:
- Google (grow.google/ai)
- Anthropic (anthropic.skilljar.com)
Building things:
- fast.ai (course.fast.ai): still the best if you learn by shipping, not by lecturing
- DeepLearning.AI (deeplearning.ai/courses): great for applications of AI in industries
The one nobody talks about:
- BlueDot Impact (bluedot.org/courses): AI safety and governance. If you're building AI into regulated industries (insurance, finance, healthcare), this is the gap most builders don't even know they have.
